SPOOKY Ghost w/Banner by Janet

I've been waiting for September and fall cardmaking. Halloween is something I've always enjoyed and Ai has many cute sets to work with. I recently added this one to my collection. It's 5190 Fright Night Set. This set has three adorable images of ghosts and other cute critters. I'll definitely be using this set again before Halloween is here!

I wanted a background that would be suggestive of ghosts so I chose a Hero Arts Swirl Stencil. I used orange and black glitter paste and mixed the colors lightly together approximately in the middle of a 4" x 5 1/4" gray panel. While it dried, I stamped and colored the ghost with the Halloween banner. I also colored the word Spooky which is in the set. I cut these images out and mounted the ghost on a black scalloped mat with a silver pattern. I cut a free form white matt for the black scallopo and glued them together. I also added purple inking on the edges to help it stand out. I cut the Spooky letters out and glued them on to a piece of vellum. I free form cut this out too. Last I cut a vertical border using a slice of paper from the 5605 Halloween Journal Paper Pack and glued it to a slightly larger gold foil strip.

To put this together, I glued the strip vertically on the card. Then I placed the finished ghost panel and the Spooky word. To further decorate it, I added purple strip gems to the top and bottom border. The finished panel was then glued to a top fold A2 white card base. I inked the edges of it with purple ink to match the square ghost panel. I love how the background really makes the ghost stand out and take center stage on the card. This has a lot of shine too!

Thanks so much for joining me here today. I hope our team will inspire you with many Halloween card ideas this season! Visit the store to see the entire Halloween collection! If you enjoy the season, you will be sure to find several sets that will get you creative ideas going.

Halloween Journal Back Cover and Cat GCH GIVEAWAY!! by Reneé Matarese

Hello everyone and welcome to the back page of my Halloween Journal!

This time I've added a Gift Card Holder.

Two of my journals feature the 5341 – Black Cat GCH Set (though he certainly could be used any time of year in any color) and my third journal features the 5342 – Pumpkin GCH Set.

You do need the 5344 – Envelope GCH Set to hold the gift card and glue the GCH elements to or you could just use the dies on a card of scrapbook page but they wont hold a gift card.

I'm giving away a 5341 – Black Cat GCH Set.  This is JUST the cat dies.  The envelope template is not included. See the link up at the bottom of my post to enter to win.  U.S. addresses only please.  You just need to enter some sort of crafty item you've created and leave your first name and last initial. I will announce the RANDOM winner next Sunday on my blog post.  If you win, please contact Leah at Feedback@artimpressions.com.  I'll share this information again next week when I announce the winner.
Don't these adorable little dies add so much fun to your creations!  They certainly don't even need to be in a journal.  How cute would these be on a card or scrapbook page!

I fit the little envelopes into a pocket from 5543 – Journal Template Die Set.  BOO was made with 5562 – Journal Letter Die Set and the little fall embellishments are from 5604 – Halloween Journal Die Set.
Some of the papers are from 5605 – Halloween Journal Paper Pack.

I used Copic markers to color some of the dies.

Spooky - Halloween Art Journal Dies by Nina

Hello Ai friends, Nina here with a cute spooky card that I created using the newest Art Journal Template Add-on "Halloween Art Journal Dies" and Art Journal Template.

I also used the newest Art Impressions Halloween Paper Pack, they have a lot of fun patterns that matched so much with theses spooky dies.

I used the darkest black from the paper pack and my die cutting machine to cut the work spooky, the fence, witch hat and the bats using the dies from Halloween Art Journal Set.

I used the irregular bordered die and cut the white spider pattern paper which will be my first layer of the background layers.

On this white panel I glued my elements that I die cut earlier. I also cut another dark panel using the insert page die that's included with the Art Journal Template and glued my white panel on top.

I also cut striped paper and irregular bordered and layered them behind my panel to give more interest and dimension.

And finally I decorated with some star enamel stickers.
