Halloween Journal Black Cat and Bat page by Reneé Matarese

Hello and happy Sunday!

Today I'm sharing another page from my Halloween journals as well as announcing the winner of the Black Cat GCH set!

Let's start off with my new pages.  I made three in all.  One with the darker web paper and two with the lighter paper.  Both are from 5605 – Halloween Journal Paper Pack.

I used the same sets on all of the pages.  The scalloped matte and base page were created from 5543 – Journal Template Die Set. The frames are both from 5591 – Journal Rectangle Frames Die Set.

I used the 5328 – Halloween Mini Dies for the bat and spider. The cat is from 5333 – Cats Mini Dies.
The bat that I colored is from 5460 – Halloween Slimline Set.

Boo! Do spiders scare you? by Reneé Matarese

 Hello Ai fans!

Today I'm sharing a card made with the new 5462 – Web Dies Set.

I HATE spiders SO MUCH!!
However,  I desperately love them and spider webs on my Halloween cards!

I used several other sets on my card as well.

5408 – ShadowBox Window Die

and
5072 – Block Letters Die Set.

I also used 
5328 – Halloween Mini Dies

and
5333 – Cats Mini Dies

I'm not sure my card will be everyone's cup of tea. 
I'm partial to holiday cards in non-traditional colors.
I'll be honest,  I've never made a pastel pink Halloween
card but I'm very happy with this one!

I cut the letters twice so that I could create a shadow behind the main letters.
Halloween is so much fun, especially with my job in an elementary school. 

I always need lots of fun cards!

Today I'm sharing a card that I made using 
5026 – Halloween Circlet MTF

The verse is from 5352 – Halloween Critters Set and the bats are from
the 5328 – Halloween Mini Dies.  The Tryfold and Circlets are so much fun
when used as they're meant to be but they can also be used in a more traditional way.

Halloween Mini Die Set Card!

Hello Ai fans! 

Art Impressions has some super cute new mini dies they are so much fun to play with. You can check out the whole mini die collection HERE. 

The focus of the card is the new Halloween mini die set. This card is very simple so it was fast to put together. I die cut a corner rounded rectangle out of black card stock. I die cut three small squares out of the black card stock with a double sided stitch square die. I adhered the black card stock over the green card stock with foam tape so the mini die cuts would be set back a little bit.

I needed a sentiment for my card so I used two sentiments from the Quivery Mini Shaker stamp set. "Happy Fright night" and "Boo!" I needed to fill in the open space the black space needed to be broken up a little bit so I used the spider web from the Fright Night stamp set and stamped them  with white ink.

Happy Meow-loween! by Reneé Matarese

Today I'm sharing a Halloween card that I made using the new Art Impressions Halloween and Cat and Dog Mini Dies.  The fence is from the watercolor line. 

5333 – Cats Mini Dies
5337 – Dogs Mini Dies
4967 – WC Fence Dies
5328 – Halloween Mini Dies

I used a faux leather paper to make the cat and the bat. I wanted them to have some texture like the real animals do.

I used the Art Impressions 5135 – Hexagon Double Stitched Dies.

The paw prints are from the dog set and the moon is a circle that I covered with Crystal glitter glue. I put some metallic silver paper behind the paw print cut outs from the dog set.

On the inside I used a verse and an image from 4941 – Spooktacular Set.

Quivery Mini Shaker Card by Jil Lebel

 

Hello Ai fans!

I used the Quivery Mini Shaker stamp set. It comes with the stamps and dies to make a fun interactive card where the pig and chicken images are on mini action wobbles.  The shake and look scared when the card is moved.

I started by stamping the images onto Spectrum Noir Ultra Smooth card stock with Gina K Black Amalgam ink and colored them with Copic markers.  The colors I used will be listed at the end of this post.  I then cut out the pig and chicken images with the matching dies that come in the set.  The entire trio was stamped onto a full piece of paper.

CI created a mask to cover the entire stamped image so I could ink blend around it.  I used the mini ink dabbers from Ranger along with Distress ink.  The ground is Lucky Clover.  The sky is Peacock Feathers, Blueprint Sketch and Black Soot.  I splattered the entire background with Perfect Pearl color Perfect Pearls mixed with water.  When it was dry, I attached the pig and chicken over the main image with mini action wobbles. I added a few bat die cuts from the stamp set.  The large bat is from the Halloween Mini Dies.

Three Sheets by Sharon Caudle

 Hello AI Fans!

I'm back with another Halloween card, this time it's one for the adults! As soon as I saw this stamp, #5190 Fright Night Set,  I KNEW I had to have it!! The sentiment of three sheets to the wind couldn't be any more perfect. I'm telling you, that Bonnie is a genius!!  I added a cute little spider and a bat from the Halloween Mini Die Sets as well. I just drew a little line from the N to make it look like he was dropping down.

Art Impressions Mini Die Bridge Cards

 Hello Ai fans!

What a fun new release these Mini Dies have been!

I simply can't decide which set is my favorite!

I have 3 cards for you today.

I used 5325 Sail Mini Dies on my first card.

I made a bridge card which was new to me.

I put together a brief tutorial on how I made it.

First, I cut the paper to A2 size vertically...4 1/4" wide x 11". Then I scored across the middle at 5 1/2".  Place the paper into your paper trimmer and cut 1 1/8" in from the right side, down to the score mark.

Flip the paper over and cut at 1 1/8" again, down to the score line.

Turn the paper so that's it's horizontal and then make a cut from the first cut mark to the other one.  Your paper should look like the lower half  of an H.

Once you have your base cut you can cut pieces to fit exactly over the "flap" pieces or that are ever so slightly smaller so you see the base.

I used the 5338 – Baby Mini Dies to create a baby girl card.

The verse is from 5185 – Baby Girl Set.

For my last card I used 5328 – Halloween Mini Dies.

This is the inside.

I cut two bats so that I could pop him up and spread out his wings.

I also used 5133 – Flag Double Stitched Dies, 

5063 – Rectangle A2 Double Stitched Dies and 

5064 – Circle Double Stitched Dies.

So...are you as obsessed with these new die sets as I am??

I know these will get used CONSTANTLY!!
