Welcome Baby! Card by Tasha

Hi Art Impressions fans!
Tasha here, and I’m bear-y excited to share my latest card creation inspired by the current "Un-Bear-ably Cute" Challenge! Today, I’m playing with the absolutely adorable new 6017–Baby Panda Set, and love these little panda stamps!

As a huge fan of panda bears, I couldn’t wait to get started. I began by stamping the sweet baby panda and the stack of gifts using black hybrid ink. After that, I brought them to life with my Copic Markers and white gel pens. Using the coordinating dies (included in the set—yay!), I cut out the images so I could pop them up with foam tape for a little extra dimension.

For the background, I wanted to create a cozy little room scene; something that feels like a warm home. I designed plaid-patterned walls and a wooden floor, imagining the baby panda sitting comfortably indoors, patiently waiting to open all those presents!

Once my cozy background was ready, I layered the panda and gifts onto the card using foam tape to give them that fun, popped-up look. For the base, I used silver glitter paper cut with the 5063–Rectangle A2 Double Stitched Dies to add a little sparkle. To bring it all together, I layered white and metallic purple cardstock, plus a panel of purple polka-dot Ai pattern paper that matched perfectly with the panda’s accessories.

To finish off the design, I added one of the sweet sentiments from the set—"We can Bear-ly wait to meet you" stamped in black on crisp white cardstock. I matted the sentiment with metallic purple paper for a polished look that ties everything together.

Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope you will join in the challenge!

Welcome Little One! Card by Tasha

Happy Friday Art Impressions Friends!

Tasha here, and today I'm sharing a sweet little card for our current Un-Bear-ably Cute! challenge. I used the adorable new 6017 – Baby Panda Set—this little bear is just too cute with her balloons!

I began by stamping the baby panda and cutting her out with the coordinating die. For the background, I added a piece of Art Impressions’ cloud pattern paper. I used foam tape to lift the panda off the card slightly, giving her the look of floating through the sky with her pretty pink balloons.

For the sentiment, I stamped “Welcome Baby” and layered it with pink and gray patterned paper to match the panda’s colors. I also added a pink gingham background and finished it off with a silver glitter frame for a bit of sparkle.

I hope you enjoyed today’s project and feel inspired to join in on the Un-Bear-ably Cute! challenge.

Have a creative weekend and happy crafting!

Sending Panda Bear Hugs Card by Tasha!

Hi Ai Friends!

Tasha here sharing a panda themed card created with the new 5821 KH-Panda Set. I enjoy coloring animals and this stamp set includes three different pandas to customize your project. This card uses the largest of the three and one of the panda-themed greetings.

I started by stamping the panda and coloring him with Copic Markers. I wasn't sure what I was going to do with the background, but wanted to try something different. I decided to add tons of bamboo and drew in extra leaves to create the outdoor scene. For the bamboo, I used several shades of green markers and kept the centers light to give the glowing look.

To coordinate with all the lime green, I colored the open areas of the background with a deep pink color. I think pink & green may be one of my all-time favorite color combinations and the pink also looks awesome with the black & white panda!

Lastly, I embossed "Bear Hugs" on to black card stock and used a circle die to cut the greeting out. For a frame, I layered a silver glitter circle which gave a pretty sparkle to the center of the card. I also added deep pink, black, and silver glitter paper layers to complete the design.

I hope you enjoyed today's card and are having a wonderful day!

PANDA-MONIUM Challenge #380 Week #2

 Hello AI Fans!

Welcome to week two of our PANDA-MONIUM challenge.

Art Impressions recently released a brand new set from Kimberley called KH5821 – Panda Set.
Her set inspired this Panda-monium challenge...Black & White cards or craft projects.

You DON'T need to use a panda bear unless you want to. It's just what inspired this challenge.

Last week, Sharon was our Featured Designer and she created an amazing black and white panda creation.

You won't believe Dori's fun, interactive panda card!

Tasha's  card fits both our PANDA-MONIUM and our The Great Outdoors Challenge!
Lynn has a video tutorial for her card.

Janet used the new  5927 – Father’s Day Die Set to create this box card.

I like you Beary much! Card by Tasha!

 Happy Friday Ai Friends!

Tasha here sharing a card inspired by the Panda-Monium Challenge and features the new KH5821-Panda Set. I think these little pandas are adorable and love the bamboo stamps!

To make the little scene, I stamped the two pandas and the bamboo with black ink. Next, I covered all the images with masking paper and used masking tape to section off the top of the paper. Once everything was covered, I used a stencil to create a colorful sky, I think it looks great behind the bamboo!

After the sky was blended, I removed all the masking paper and colored the images. I thought having different shades of green would allow the bamboo to stand out against the green grass and I like the light green color.

For the greeting, I stamped "I like you beary much" with the same black ink. The black & white color combo coordinates with the panda theme and I like the why the sentiment looks under the colorful design.

Lastly, I added layers of black and green cardstock before attaching the cared to a white card base.

I hope you enjoyed today's project and will join in the challenge!

Panda Love by Janet

Welcome to the weekend! Today I bring you a card with two huggable pandas from the set designed by Kim Hein. It's called KH5821 - Panda Set. This is a 12 piece set that includes several panda images as well as bamboo, leaves and sentiments.

My card is a simple design and easy to do with just two Copic markers (C1 and C7). After coloring and shading, I fussy cut the two sitting panda images and set them aside. I then made a mask for the center of the card by cutting a circle in masking paper. If you're not familiar with masking paper, it is paper with a repositionable adhesive on one side. After cutting the circle out of a sheet using 5726 - Nested Circle Dies, I peeled the protective backing and stuck it to my card panel which I had cut at 4" x 5 1/4". I blended Peeled Paint Distress Oxide ink with a blending brush in the bottom half of the circle and Tumbled Glass on the top half.

At this point I stamped several stalks of bamboo from the stamp set along with leaves placed where I wanted them. I also stamped the sentiment. Once done, I peeled the mask off the cardstock. What remained is a perfect circle of color with bamboo. The circle of color forms a perfect background to place the two sitting pandas mounted on foam tape. Then the finished panel was mounted with foam tape to an A2 card base made in matching white cardstock. This technique creates a simple but effective card that's perfect for anyone who like pandas and all that they symbolize.

Thanks for stopping by today. I hope my card gives you some ideas of your own. Please visit the store to see all the things you need for your card, journal, and tag making projects. Have a great Saturday!
