Sending Panda Bear Hugs Card by Tasha!

Hi Ai Friends!

Tasha here sharing a panda themed card created with the new 5821 KH-Panda Set. I enjoy coloring animals and this stamp set includes three different pandas to customize your project. This card uses the largest of the three and one of the panda-themed greetings.

I started by stamping the panda and coloring him with Copic Markers. I wasn't sure what I was going to do with the background, but wanted to try something different. I decided to add tons of bamboo and drew in extra leaves to create the outdoor scene. For the bamboo, I used several shades of green markers and kept the centers light to give the glowing look.

To coordinate with all the lime green, I colored the open areas of the background with a deep pink color. I think pink & green may be one of my all-time favorite color combinations and the pink also looks awesome with the black & white panda!

Lastly, I embossed "Bear Hugs" on to black card stock and used a circle die to cut the greeting out. For a frame, I layered a silver glitter circle which gave a pretty sparkle to the center of the card. I also added deep pink, black, and silver glitter paper layers to complete the design.

I hope you enjoyed today's card and are having a wonderful day!

Happy Bee-Day! Card by Tasha

 Happy Friday Ai Friends!

Tasha here sharing a bee-themed card inspired by the current All A-Buzz Challenge! I used the new 5925 - Honey Bee Set and think the little bee stamps are just too cute!

I started by stenciling a hive design in the center of my card to bring in a bright yellow color. After, I stamped out all the images. Cutting these stamped pieces out was super easy using the included dies; I love that Art Impressions has coordinating dies for this set!

For the coloring, I used Copic Markers and added glitter to the wings for extra sparkle. I also used a white gel pen on the fabric top of the honey to give a check look. Doesn't this little bee look so happy with his honey jar?

This stamp set includes several greetings, but the "Happy Bee-Day!" sentiment fit perfectly on a little banner. I decided to emboss white on black paper to continue with the bee theme. Plus, the black, white, and yellow colors always look good together.

Lastly, I added gold glitter paper, orange and gold card stock, and a pretty floral pattern paper to complete the card. I hope you enjoyed today's project and will participate in the All A-Buzz Challenge!

Have a Magical Day Card by Tasha!

Happy Friday Friends!

Tasha here sharing a card inspired by the current Ai Challenge. The theme is Magical Creatures and I thought it was the perfect time to create with the new 5915 - Woodland Fairies Set!

I love fairies and when looking at the images included in this set, I just couldn't decide on which fairy to use, so I selected three for this card. To make a little scene, I stamped a bench and covered it with masking paper before stamping the fairy in the back. I just love masking!

Since I wanted it to look like the other two fairies were sitting on the bench, I used the included coordinating die set to cut them out and attached them to the card with foam tape. Don't they look so adorable, I love the little wings!

For the background, I used a cloud and grass stencil to make the ground and sky. I also used two Ai grass stamps to add more detail to the ground and attached several enamel flowers for extra color.
Lastly, I attached silver paper, purple card stock, and a fun star pattern paper to complete the card. I hope you enjoyed today's project and will join in the Magical Creatures Challenge!

Hello Summer Card by Tasha!

Happy Friday!

Tasha here sharing a new Summer card featuring the super cute 5903-Treasured Armful Set. This mermaid has quickly become my new go to stamp for the Summer and I just love coloring her pretty hair!

For this card, I decided to make an underwater scene and layered seashells and sea plants to frame the mermaid. I wanted to use pink on this card and thought the long blonde hair looked great with all the pink colors used on the mermaid's tail and her treasure chest; I love the color pink!
Lastly, I glued on the word "Hello" and attached gold glitter paper, pink card stock, and a coordinating seashell pattern paper. I also attached several shell embellishments and a made a textured floor to make it look like the bottom of the ocean. I think she looks happy with her treasures!

I hope you enjoyed today's card and are having a wonderful day!

Stars, Stripes, and Sparkles! card by Tasha!

Happy Friday Ai Friends!

Tasha here sharing a card featuring the new  5928 - Stay Hydrated Set and inspired by the current Stars & Stripes Forever Challenge.  I love this girl's Summer outfit and her large tumbler!

This set includes several patterns to use on the tumbler, but I created a red, white & blue pattern to go with the patriotic scene. I like that the tumbler is blank, so you can really customize it for your project.
I stamped the image with black ink and used Copic Markers for the coloring before cutting her out with the included dies. To give her a Summer look, I used red, white & blue colors for her clothes and drew golden stars on her top. I like the pop of gold!

To complete the card, I added a firework pattern paper background and attached a "Happy 4th of July!" greeting. I think this card is festive and perfect for Summer!

Thank you for checking out today's card and I hope you will join in the Stars & Stripes Forever Challenge!

You're a Treasure Card by Tasha!

 Happy Friday Ai Friends!

Tasha here sharing a fun Summer card created with the new 5903-Treasured Armful Set. I have always loved mermaids and this mermaid stamp is just so cute and a lot of fun to color.

To begin this beach-themed card, I stamped the mermaid and conch shell with black ink and cut both pieces out using the included die set. The die also cuts an opening that allows you to attach the shell to make it look as if she is holding it; I think this looks so cool!

After coloring, I created a little beach scene for the background. I used a wave pattern paper for the water and stenciled the puffy clouds to make a pretty blue sky. This looks like a perfect beach day!

For the sentiment, I embossed the included "You're a Treasure" greeting on to black card stock. I love white lettering and the black & white color combination looks great with all the bright colors.

Lastly, I attached blue and black card stock and a wood pattern paper to coordinate with the beach theme.
I hope you enjoyed this card and are inspired to create with the fun 5903-Treasured Armful Set.

Have a wonderful day!

I like you Beary much! Card by Tasha!

 Happy Friday Ai Friends!

Tasha here sharing a card inspired by the Panda-Monium Challenge and features the new KH5821-Panda Set. I think these little pandas are adorable and love the bamboo stamps!

To make the little scene, I stamped the two pandas and the bamboo with black ink. Next, I covered all the images with masking paper and used masking tape to section off the top of the paper. Once everything was covered, I used a stencil to create a colorful sky, I think it looks great behind the bamboo!

After the sky was blended, I removed all the masking paper and colored the images. I thought having different shades of green would allow the bamboo to stand out against the green grass and I like the light green color.

For the greeting, I stamped "I like you beary much" with the same black ink. The black & white color combo coordinates with the panda theme and I like the why the sentiment looks under the colorful design.

Lastly, I added layers of black and green cardstock before attaching the cared to a white card base.

I hope you enjoyed today's project and will join in the challenge!

Christmas is Early Challenge by Mercy Sauer

Hello friends, welcome to this week's challenge, Christmas is early!  I am sharing a tag I created a while back that I submitted to a magazine.  Typically we wait to showcase the card until the issue is released which brings us to today's project.  It's actually a set, so be sure to check out the matching card in this week's blog.

I used one of my favorite Ai Christmas sets which comes with stamps and dies.   I've created tags, cards, table place cards and decorated gift boxes and bags.  In this example, I opted to create a scene using elements from the set.  I used copic markers and distress inks to highlight the pink sky and mountain tops.  The possibilities are endless with this set.   I hope this challenge gets you inspired to start thinking and creating for the holiday season...Thank you for being here!

Holiday Card Making is back! by Mercy Sauer

Hello folks, Mercy here.   I announced last week September will be my last month with Ai and I wanted to thank you all for your support and warm comments during this wonderful journey.  I thought it would be fitting to use one of my favorite Ai sets, one I purchased even before I was in the design team, the Christmas Truck Set .   A super cute and fun set, I just love it.

I stamped and die cut the elements and used Copic markers and inks to complete the project.   To change it up a bit, I used a slimline die cut for the outer design of the card.

Wishing you all a wonderful holiday season and many blessings for 2024.

Peek-A-Boo by Mercy Sauer

Hello Ai friends, I am so happy to be here with you.   I have an announcement to make, I am saddened to report that I will be stepping down as a design team member for Ai.  It has been an amazing opportunity to be part of such a great group of ladies and company.   I will complete my September month responsibilities and hopefully we will be welcoming a new member very soon.   I love Ai products and will always continue to have them in my stash.

For this week I created a cute card which could be used for birthdays, Halloween, or any other occasion.   I used the cat from the 5506 – Peek-a-Boo Set, a great example of using a small element from a set as the main character.   Let's take a look.

I used the window die to create the opening.   In addition, I die cut from black cardstock the same window and removed the window panes and used them as frames for the front and back of the card panel.  I used oxide ink to distress the front panel and sprayed water to create the spots.   I did want to add a punch of color to a rather muted color scheme and the red heart did the trick.

Hope you get some inspiration from this card, shop from your own stash, it's always exciting to find new ways to use your product.   I will see you all next week!

New Release! by Mercy Sauer

Hello friends, Mercy here showcasing another newly released set.  This week, I would like to highlight sets that are staples in my collection.  They can easily be used as the main part of the card, as demonstrated on this card, or as background elements supporting the overall design of the card.  Let's look at my example,

I consider these three sets staples in my collection.   The new set of pots can easily be incorporated in any card and the same goes for the flowers and the puppy.  When purchasing stamps I categorize the sets to determine if it's one that I could potentially use many times or if it's more limited to a theme or occasion.   However you choose your stamps and dies, visit our website.  Art Impressions has a huge collection perfect to meet all your needs and wants.

Take care,
