Relax, It's Your Birthday! Card by Tasha

Happy Friday Ai Friends!

Tasha here, excited to share my first card of 2024 with you all! What better way to kick off the new year than by creating a cheerful birthday card? Art Impressions offers a tons of fantastic birthday stamp sets, and for today's creation, I chose a charming image of a guy lounging in his recliner – perfect for a masculine touch!

To begin, I stamped the main image from the 5421 - Sit Back Laugh Lines Set on to white card stock and masking paper. This masking paper allowed me to cover our laid-back guy before working on the cool background. There's something incredibly satisfying about peeling away the masking paper to unveil a pristine image underneath, isn't there?

For the greeting, I opted for a layered "Happy Birthday" sentiment. Cutting the words from coordinating paper colors added a delightful pop to the card. The blue and white against the stenciled brick wall background created a visually striking effect that I absolutely love.

To bring it all together, I layered Blue, Black, and White paper, adding depth and dimension to the overall design. It's amazing how a few layers can elevate a card and make it stand out.

I hope this card brings a smile to your face and inspires you to make a fun masculine birthday card. Have a wonderful day!

Me and my recliner by Sharon Caudle

 Hello AI Fans!

Today I'm sharing the card I created for the Perfect Plaid challenge (you still have a couple days left to enter!!)  For this one, I used #4159 Lazy Boy Set along with a sentiment from #5421 Sit Back Laugh Lines Set. I stamped him onto Cryogen White paper (love the glittery aspect of this paper!) and colored it with Copic markers.

LOL! If this isn't a snapshot of my amazing hubby, I don't know what would be! I added three antique buttons up in the top left corner and one on top of the plaid bow as well. This is an old container of buttons I stumbled across in a little antique shop, and I absolutely love them! Some of them still even have the old thread in them! So that's it for me today! Hope you're having a great start to your week!

Sit Back and We're Here Windows by ReneƩ Matarese

Hello Ai fans!

As you know, Art Impressions has a funny series of sets called Laugh Lines.  They've recently added to fun, new sets to the line.

On the front I stamped the verse in the
to make it look like we are looking into his living room.

When you open up my card you enter his living room.
He "pops" up and his recliner shakes on its wobble!
The verse on the inside is stamped on 5065 – Oval Double Stitched Dies.

If you notice the front of the card, the window is actually faux.
What I mean is that I didn't make it so that you could actually see through
the window.  I just made it look like you could.  The reason for that was so that
on the inside I could make it look like there were deer just outside his window.
This is how it is at my house.  My husband can be sitting in his chair and the
deer (or more recently...bear) stroll on by.

I made it a pop up card so that his chair was away from the wall and window the way they'd be in real life.

Doesn't the wobble make it look like he just "ejected" his foot rest from the recliner?

I made a second living room scene using the same window and
the girlfriends this time. I used SC0677 – Wine Divas.

Can't you just hear them rapping on the window saying..."We're here!! Let us in for some wine too!!"
lol!! "  I used 5281 – We’re Here Set.

The girlfriend in the chair is popped up dimensional foam tape and the Hello die come with the ShadowBox window die.

Recliner King Wobbler by Bri Firth

Hello Ai Fans - Bri here! Today, I am sharing a birthday card featuring the new Sit Back stamp set, which is part of the Laugh Lines collection. Check out the rest of the 2021 releases here. This card is featured on my personal blog today, check it out here

This 5.5" x 5.5" square card is designed with a grayscale color scheme layered with fun textured papers! The TV die cut is from the retired TV Time Craft Die Set. I stamped the sentiment inside of the tv with black pigment ink and clear embossing powder. I die cut the black sentiment strips with the Flag Double Stitched die set and heat embossed the sentiments with while embossing powder.

Next, I colored the old man and recliner chair image with Copic Sketch markers. The markers I used are listed at the end of this blog post. I used an action wobble with the recliner image to create a rocking-motion interactive piece. To finish the card I added red and black sequins for embellishment.

Check back next week for more Ai inspiration made by me!
