Milestone Birthdays! Challenge #400 and BIG Giveaway! (Week #2)

 Hello Ai fans!

Welcome to week #2 of our big Milestone Birthdays Challenge!

We're celebrating 400 challenges with a BIG giveaway.

5 lucky winners will walk away with a free stamp set.

I'm offering 3 retired Throwbacks and Art Impressions will be giving away 2 more current sets still on their website.  Please leave a message in the comments section below when you enter your Milestone Birthday card. Let me know if you have a preference as to a specific stamp set and I'll do my best to accommodate the winners.

Last week our Featured Designer was Lynn and she created this wonderful masculine birthday card.

This week we're sharing the rest of our Design Team cards.

I created two GOAT (Greatest of All Time) cards for you.
One is a 30th birthday and one is an 89th birthday. I know we generally think of milestones as even numbers, I figure anything past 80 is a milestone and worth celebrating. That one was for my Father-in-law.

Dori created a 70th birthday card.

Janet created an 80th birthday card.
She used 5407 - Birthday Cake GCH
AiCS28-Chocolate Therapy (sentiment only) Retired
5911 – Large Number Die Set

Tasha created a 60th birthday card.

I just LOVE everyone of these cards from the Design Team!
I hope they inspire you to join in the challenge. There are so many prizes to be given away this week. Maybe YOU'LL be the next winner!

Enter your birthday card below for the chance to win. If you have a preference as to which stamp set you'd like to win, please leave that information in the comments section below. Good luck and happy stamping!

Here's to Birthdays Card by Tasha!

Happy Friday Ai Fans!

Tasha here sharing a new birthday card created with the fun 5279 - Be Happy Laugh Lines Set!

To make this card, I started by stamping the dancing lady with black ink and colored her with Copic Makers. Since this is a birthday card, I also stamped a little cupcake from the 5255 - Birthday Cake Set in one of her hands. She looks so happy!

For the background, I ink blended some rays with yellow ink and attached several yellow pearls. I also stamped the greeting with black ink directly on to the card. I love the bright colors and the golden glow!

Lastly, I attached layers of black and red card stock, and a piece of green polka dot paper to complete the design. The fun green color goes great with the birthday theme!

Thank you for checking out today's project and I hope you are having a wonderful day!

I Ain't No Quitter Card by Tasha!

 Good morning Ai Fans!

Tasha here sharing a card created with the fun 5517- Sassy Laugh Lines Set! This set is fabulous and includes one main image and a variety of sentiments!

The stylish lady was stamped with black hybrid ink and colored with Copic Markers. I also added a glowing background with Distress Oxide Ink. I love the red & teal color combination and her cool printed cardigan sweater!

The sentiment was stamped with the same black ink and I love this shopping-themed greeting. This is totally something I would say!

Lastly, I added layers of silver glitter, plaid pattern paper, and red card stock before attaching it to a white card base.

Thank you for checking out today's card and I hope you are inspired to create a project with the 5517- Sassy Laugh Lines Set!

Stressed and Coffee Obsessed! by ReneƩ Matarese

 Hello Ai fans!

There's a super fun challenge going on here on the blog called Tickle Our Funny Bone!
Click the "Current Challenge" tab above to be taken to the page.

I've made a card using the new Laugh Lines set called 5518 – Hot Mess Laugh Lines.

This fun set (that's SO relatable) comes jam packed with 18 sentiment stamps that coordinate perfectly with this image!

The mug is colored to match one that I have.  As much as I LOVE the smell of coffee and coffee themed cards I don't actually drink it.  All of my mugs are for soup or holding candy and art supplies.

Our new challenge is Tickle Our Funny Bone.

The new challenge is perfect for the new releases (as are most all of the previous releases!)
We're looking for projects that make us giggle.

Art Impressions recently shared 3 new releases that are exactly what make us laugh!
You can check them all out here.

Now that we've announced last weeks winners, let's introduce our new design team feature and Janet's darling feature!  She created this fun card that, let's face it, could be so many of us!!

Hello Ai fans! Today I'm making fun of my own frantic lifestyle for the Tickle Our Funny Bone challenge using the new #5513 Hot Mess Laugh Lines set. This set features a lady who has had a morning! She's collapsed into her favorite chair and has even spilled some of her most sacred energy drink - coffee or tea. Or maybe it's a little wine?? Who knows for sure? There are a huge number of sentiments included in this set. In total there are 18 possible thoughts this exhausted lady could be having! You're sure to find several that fit what you're envisioning.

To start this project, I first stamped the lady in Memento Black ink on to alcohol ink friendly cardstock. Her pants look a lot like my favorite sweats. They are purple with a white stripe on the sides so of course that's how I colored these pants! After I colored the entire image, I scanned it with my Brother ScanNCut and cut it with just a white border. You could also easily fussy cut this image or stamp and color it directly on a panel. There are many ways to get a similar result. By the way, I've included the entire list of Copic markers I used at the end of this post.

Before starting the background, I also colored and cut out a clock and a wall light from 5324 MB Wall Accessories Set. These little accessories are perfect for my scene. I decided to use patterned papers to create an interior home scene for wallpaper and for the wood flooring. I cut and glued the pieces onto an A2 sized panel knowing I would cut a smaller piece out with a Square Double Stitched Die. Even though this wastes some paper, I am ok with it because it eliminates the stress of making sure the paper edges were perfect. I selected the second largest die in the set and laid out my pieces to make sure I was happy with the proportion of wall to floor.

I stamped a sentiment on the panel that is the story of my life. It says, "I'm sure I'm late for something." I'm sure some of you can relate! I applied the finished panel on an aqua colored metallic cardstock cut with the largest Ai Square Double-Stitched Die. Then I glued that piece onto a chocolate brown A2-sized card base. Now my lady was ready to be enter stage right!

Below is a closer look at my tired lady. I get a real chuckle out of her. I hope you do too.

Copic Colors Used:
Skin: E000, E0, E04, E11, E21
