Sit Back and We're Here Windows by Reneé Matarese

Hello Ai fans!

As you know, Art Impressions has a funny series of sets called Laugh Lines.  They've recently added to fun, new sets to the line.

On the front I stamped the verse in the
to make it look like we are looking into his living room.

When you open up my card you enter his living room.
He "pops" up and his recliner shakes on its wobble!
The verse on the inside is stamped on 5065 – Oval Double Stitched Dies.

If you notice the front of the card, the window is actually faux.
What I mean is that I didn't make it so that you could actually see through
the window.  I just made it look like you could.  The reason for that was so that
on the inside I could make it look like there were deer just outside his window.
This is how it is at my house.  My husband can be sitting in his chair and the
deer (or more recently...bear) stroll on by.

I made it a pop up card so that his chair was away from the wall and window the way they'd be in real life.

Doesn't the wobble make it look like he just "ejected" his foot rest from the recliner?

I made a second living room scene using the same window and
the girlfriends this time. I used SC0677 – Wine Divas.

Can't you just hear them rapping on the window saying..."We're here!! Let us in for some wine too!!"
lol!! "  I used 5281 – We’re Here Set.

The girlfriend in the chair is popped up dimensional foam tape and the Hello die come with the ShadowBox window die.

We're Here fun with color | By Jessica Shier

Hello Ai fans!
Jessica here again today, with one more card design using the We're Here stamp set. This image of the ladies bursting through the door is so fun and I thought I would color them up a bit differently then I did the last time and use some fun wild colors for their hair. If I had more time and patience I would so color my hair teal!

If you compare the below photo with the one above you can see that they are slightly different. I liked the look of the on above but I thought the yellow orange color I used on the door mat and curtain were really distracting. So I colored the image again and made a second card.. Replacing the yellow with a RV81 & RV83 pink color combination. It is a lot softer but I do like how both turned out.

For the background I used several Distress Oxide reinkers. These are great to use as watercolors and a few drops goes a long ways. I did each color separately, using Ranger Distress watercolor paper and squishing it over the drops of Distress Oxide. Basically just making blobs but it was fun, colorful and easy. I used a little bit of water from the Distress Sprayer to add some texture since the Distress Oxide inks react with water.

I had a blast using this We're Here stamp set and playing around with colors. Let me know which version you prefer and if you missed my last post using this set take a look at that here.

Thank you so much for joining me today. Happy stamping!

We're Here! | By Jessica Shier

Hello Ai Fans!
Jessica here and I've been having some fun coloring this image from the We're Here set. The current challenge on the Art Impressions blog is Invitations and this set would be perfect for those much-needed get-togethers when we all can do so! There are lots of great sentiments in this one. I combined two of them to create the on for this card, which is heat embossed with white embossing powder on black card stock.

For my coloring, I used Copic Markers. You can find the list of colors I used below. I had a picture of a slat wall in mind to use with the We're Here image. Maybe I was thinking siding on a house since it looks like the ladies are busting through the front door. To do this I used some plain white card stock and a scoreboard, scoring on every 1/4 inch mark. Then trimmed to fit the frame. This adheres to a piece of light gray card stock that is also attached to an A2 card base.

The frame is cut from a piece of dark gray card stock. I used two of the Art Impressions Rectangle dies to do this. I really wanted something sparkly so I used some Stickles and smeared it over top of the card stock frame and let it sit to dry. I did use some circle dimensional foams to pop up the glitter frame, We're Here image and oval sentiment.

Here is a photo that shows off the glitter a little more.

Thank you so much for joining me today. Happy Stamping!

Best Friends Forever! by Carol Hintermeier

Happy Monday Ai friends!  Today I have a fun card that would be perfect for sending to all of our friends that we miss so much!  I've used the new and so fun We're Here Set for this card.

I began by stamping the image onto white card stock that I die cut with a Rectangle Double Stitched die.  I also stamped it onto some masking paper and fussy cut it out.  I used the Copic markers listed below to color the image.  I found a "Home" stamp in my stash and stamped it onto the door sign.

For the background, I put the mask over the image and taped off the die cut edges.  I used a rectangle masking stencil and a blender brush to add Squeezed Lemonade Distress Oxide ink.  I used a black pen to draw a line to separate the floor and wall and used some Post-It Tape to mask the floor.  Next I used a brick stencil to ink on more Squeezed Lemonade ink.  I blended a bit of Mustard Seed Distress Oxide around the edges.

After removing the masks, I layered the panel onto some blue card stock and some black/white patterned paper.  I adhered these layers to a top-folding A2 card base.  I stamped the sentiment onto some of the blue card stock and die cut it with the smallest Rectangle Double Stitched die.  I shifted the die cut piece in the die and ran it through my machine again to make it shorter.  I repeated this for the other end.  I popped the sentiment up with some foam tape.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!  Have a wonderful, crafty week!
