Wine Divas Card by Tasha!

 Happy Friday Ai Fans!

Tasha here sharing a new card featuring the awesome SC0677-Wine Divas Set. I love all the Ai people sets and this group of friends were so much fun to color!

For this card, I stamped the main image with black ink and colored them with Copic Markers. To add more color to the background, I used a gray marker to create a floor and ink blended with pink Distress Oxide Ink to look as if a light was shinning on the group.

For the greeting, I stamped "Wine Gets Better With Age... We Get Better With Wine!" in the same black ink directly on to the card. This set includes several wine-themed sentiments, but this one is my favorite!

Lastly, I added layers of glitter pattern paper, black and purple card stock, and a piece of pretty floral paper  before attaching it to a white card base. I love how this card turned out and think it's perfect for a special friend's birthday!

Thank you for checking out today's project and I hope you are having a great day!

Women of Wine!

We have started a new challenge on the blog. Shaken not Stirred is about anything with a drink. Here's my first card for this challenge. It's the ladies from the Wine Divas stamp set. Be sure to enter your masterpiece in the challenge. We love to see what you create!

To make this, I used Copic markers to color the image and then I fussy cut it out. There are a few areas that don't really work for scissors so I used a finger blade to cut out those sections. I trimmed it very close to the lines so that the image looks almost stamped onto the specialty card stock I used.

I cut the cardstock and embossed it with a grape embossing folder. I stamped and heat embossed the sentiment with black detail embossing powder and then cut it out with a Circle Double Stitched die. I used a wine colored A2 sized card base and used a matte silver piece of cardstock as a mat.

These ladies are a lot of fun and remind me of the group of ladies I hang out with. We enjoy our beverage of choice and have a great old time with each other. So cheers ladies! We are better with age!

Thanks for stopping by and spending a little time with me here at the Ai Blog. See you next week!

Happy Creating!

Aged to Perfection Card by Tasha

Happy Friday Ai Fans!
Tasha here sharing a card created for the new Art Impressions Challenge! The theme of this challenge is "Feeling Funky" and it's a perfect time to try out a fun card fold!

My project is a center step card created with the SC0677 - Ai Wine Divas stamp set. This is an oldie, but a goodie and this fun image could be used on year-round cards!

I wanted this diva to be stylish and bold like her glass of red wine. I added detail to her headband and dress to glam it up a bit, and colored the chair a pretty green color. I'm loving the green and purple!

This card fold is one of my favorites and folds up to fit into an A2 sized envelope for easy mailing. The stamped image was matted with purple glitter paper for extra sparkle and I added green and purple paper to coordinate with the colored design.

The sentiment "Wine gets better with age...We get better with Wine!" was stamped with black ink on white cardstock. I added some purple Distress Ink to the edges for more color and matted the greeting with the same pattern paper and cardstock used on the panels.

Lastly, I added several silver metallic dots to the banner. The mix of shapes and textures add so much detail and interest to the project!

Thank you for checking out today's card and I hope you have a wonderful day!

OUCH! Feel Better by Niccole Kulig

Hello Ai fans!!

I am stopping by today to share a card using the Doggy Kisses and Wine Divas stamp set.

I did not intend to create a one layer card but sometimes the stamps decide for you what direction you are going with your card.  LOL Anyways ... I started by stamping my sentiments in the middle in black. I used the Ouch sentiment from Doggy Kisses stamp set and I used only part of the sentiment in Wine Divas for the feel better.  From there I randomly stamped the band-aid from the Doggy Kisses stamp set in rainbow colors.

I always find it hard to photograph Wink of Stella. Do you agree?  I added Wink of Stella to all the center of the band-aids for some texture to my one layer card.

I finished it off with Nuvo Drops in the same rainbow colors to give a lot more dimension to my one layer card.  I love how cheery this card ended up being.  A great pick me up card for someone hurt or injured.

Here is one more look at the complete card ...

Remember ... try and stretch you stamps out of the norm from what they were intended for, as there is no dog on this card as the stamp set would imply, just a general feel better card.

Like I said earlier sometime a one layer card is all you need to get your point across. Please stop back again soon and see what I have been up to.

Until next time ... Hugs & inky fingers!
