OUCH! Feel Better by Niccole Kulig

Hello Ai fans!!

I am stopping by today to share a card using the Doggy Kisses and Wine Divas stamp set.

I did not intend to create a one layer card but sometimes the stamps decide for you what direction you are going with your card.  LOL Anyways ... I started by stamping my sentiments in the middle in black. I used the Ouch sentiment from Doggy Kisses stamp set and I used only part of the sentiment in Wine Divas for the feel better.  From there I randomly stamped the band-aid from the Doggy Kisses stamp set in rainbow colors.

I always find it hard to photograph Wink of Stella. Do you agree?  I added Wink of Stella to all the center of the band-aids for some texture to my one layer card.

I finished it off with Nuvo Drops in the same rainbow colors to give a lot more dimension to my one layer card.  I love how cheery this card ended up being.  A great pick me up card for someone hurt or injured.

Here is one more look at the complete card ...

Remember ... try and stretch you stamps out of the norm from what they were intended for, as there is no dog on this card as the stamp set would imply, just a general feel better card.

Like I said earlier sometime a one layer card is all you need to get your point across. Please stop back again soon and see what I have been up to.

Until next time ... Hugs & inky fingers!

Happy Birthday to One Fabulous Chick by Niccole Kulig

Hello Ai fans!

I am here today to share yet another card using the adorable Spring Chicken set.  I am on quite the chicken kick at the moment.

I used the same navy card stock with a red frame. This time though I had some left over chicken feet for the recent Animal Challenge. I couldn't let the little feet go to waste.

I masked out the "Oh Frap" that is on the coffee cup before I stamped my chickenI wanted it to be a fabulous chicken for a birthday card without that sentiment.  I colored her with my Copics.  I fussy cut her out and applied her to my card with foam tape.

I added Wink of Stella to the flower on her hat and her glasses.  I finished it off with a few yellow Nuvo Drops.

Here is one more look at the finished card.  These chickens are my favorite at the moment.  I just love how cute they are.  They are versatile as well; you could use other sentiments with them.

Hello Spring Chicken by Niccole Kulig

Hello Ai fans!!

I am stopping by today to share a card I made with the Spring Chicken set from Art Impressions!  I just love this set!  It is a lot of fun!

I started by layering my navy card base with a red poppy layer to create a frame. I die cut my green paper and set it aside.

I cut my watercolor paper down so the red paper framed it.  From there I used my ink and stenciled on my clouds.  I love how soft the clouds look when you make them this way. I glued my clouds dow on the red paper and then added the green grass to the bottom.

I colored my chicken with my Copics.  I fussy cut it out and added it to my card. I glued the bottom portion and used foam tape on the top half of the chicken. I figured I would add numerous layer of Wink Of Stella to my springs to make them stand out instead of coloring those tiny areas.

Here is one more look at the whole card. I finished it off with some colored gems.  I love how easy this card was to make but yet it looks more difficult that it really is.

Thank you so much for stopping by.  We will see you again soon!

Oh Frap by Niccole Kulig

Hello Ai fans!!

I am here today to share a fun card I made using the Spring Chicken set from Art Impressions.  This set is so fun.
The first thing I did was choose my stamps. I absolutely LOVE this chicken from the Spring Chicken set.  From there I chose my paper.
I colored my chicken with my Copic markers.  The list of colors I used is at the end of this post. I stamped my sentiment bottom center and I raised my chicken up with foam tape.
I wanted to show a close up so you could see all of the layers used.  There are seven layers of paper to this card.
Here is one more look at the card.  I added Wink of Stella to her glasses and her coffee and steam.  I was going to add Crystal Effects to her glasses but I though the Wink of Stella added just as much shimmer with out the dry time. I had a lot of fun putting this card together.  I even sat and put together a few backgrounds for future cards after all of the measuring. for each layer.

The Lake House by Niccole Kulig

Hello Ai fans!!

"The Sinple things that fill our lives bring the greatest joy."

It is Niccole again stopping by to share a card I made using the Lake House Window. I just love these window stamps.  The saying around each one of the stamps are perfect!

I stared by using the Square Easel die.  I added the Lake House Window stamp to my layered square in the middle of my card. I added the sentiment from the WC Sentiment 2 set to the bottom of my card.  I though Blessed & Grateful was fitting for this card.

I colored my Lake House Window with my Prismacolor Colored Pencils.  I added Wink of Stella to my whole image to give it a little shimmer, like a reflection off of the lake.

This card was a challenge for me as I am no good at colored pencils.  I am trying to make myself use them more to get use to then ... so please cut a girl some slack!  - LOL -

Prismacolor Colored Pencils used:
PC927, PC940, PC943, PC946
PC908, PC909, PC989
PC1025, PC1087

Thank you so much for stopping by ... we will see you again soon!
Until next time ... Hugs & inky fingers!

Tulips and a Tired Little Easter Bunny

Hello Ai fans!

I am so excited to be here and sharing with you my very first card for the Ai design team.  I have a beautiful Easter card to share with you from the set 5004 - Sweet Easter

I thought this image was so soft and pretty that I wanted to keep the colors softer. I wanted to frame the flowers and bunny, being he is the focal point.  I thought the oval in the 4700 - Scallop Easel Die would work perfect.  I also wanted to give some dimension to the card so if you look close you can see I glued the bottom pot down and the half way up I added foam tape.  For the flowers though I doubled up the foam tape to really make them pop. It is really hard to see in the picture but I added some Wink of Stella to the tulips and the little fuzzy bunny to make them shine. As you get to know me you will find out … I LOVE Wink of Stella.

I left the inside blank so you could write a nice note to the person receiving it.
This sentiment also comes with the stamp set 5004 - Sweet Easter.

Thank you so much for welcoming me and checking out my first post for the Ai design team.  I look forward to making crafty friends with all of you!

Watercolor Throwback - Potted Christmas Tree

Hello Ai Fans!

Welcome to a special Watercolor Throwback to one of our favorite Christmas videos! You have heard us talk about our Winter Watercolor Playlist and we thought we would feature one of the most popular videos!

This throwback is a quick and easy Potted Christmas Tree! Bonnie used the pot from our Southwest set and made it festive with a candy cane stripe. To create the tree shape, simply draw a triangle above the pot with a pencil. Bonnie then used our Molotow Masking pen to mask a white garland, after stamping her foliageflowers, and buds from our Clay Pot set. She finished the image with an adorable bow, a small shadow under the tree, and a little Wink of Stella clear glitter!

This is our last Watercolor Wednesday for 2018! We are wishing you and your family a blessed holiday season and many Christmas memories to be made! And all the best as we ring in 2019!

As always, Happy Stamping!
