Buzzing into the Future! Card by Tasha

Happy Friday, Art Impressions Friends!

Tasha here, and today I'm excited to share a fun bee-themed graduation card featuring the super cute 5925 – Honey Bee Set. I absolutely love these little bee stamps and thought they’d be a fun twist on a traditional graduation card!

To start, I stamped three bees and gave them tiny graduation caps, then colored them with Copic markers. The background features honeycomb stamping and a hive in the center; I love the schoolhouse hive!

For the card base, I made a scalloped frame. I think the soft edges of the scallop work really well with the playful bee theme. Then I layered black, teal, and white cardstock, plus a piece of yellow plaid patterned paper from Art Impressions. I wanted to keep the classic yellow and black bee colors, but the teal adds a nice pop of color.

To finish off the card, I added two stamped sentiments, ink blended the edges of the center card, and attached a few enamel dots for extra shine and dimension.

Thanks so much for stopping by the blog today! I hope this card gives you some inspiration for your own spring or graduation-themed projects. Have a bee-autiful weekend!

Hat's Off To You! by Janet

Hello everyone! Graduation at our house is in a little over a week and Mom is just about ready! One thing left to do was make a card for my son and now I can say, "Check!"

This is a Double Z Fold card with a built in center pop-up section in the middle. I did not use a die for this and I was pleased with how it turned out. To decorate it, I used the adorable 5277-Graduation Set. There are three super cute graduates and lots of sentiments. The images come wearing graduation hats but I thought it would be fun to enhance them using hat brads.

Aren't these characters so cute? I can never get enough of this set. It is perfect for both both girls and boys.

I know my son will enjoy this card. He's my biggest fan and never gives me an attitude every time I say, "Look at the card I made!" He must groan inside sometimes but he's always willing to ooh and ah over anything I've shown him over the years. Sadly, I won't have him around to show my makes soon but I guess I'll have to send him photos. He can't get off that easy! Ha ha! Making something special for someone you care about is one of the greatest things about being a card maker. I know you all know what I mean.

Thanks so much for stopping by today. I hope you'll stop by the store soon for all your card making needs.

Wishing you a very crafty day!

Happy Birthday Down Under! by Reneé Matarese

 Hello Ai fans!

Today I'm sharing a birthday card that I made for a friend all the way in Australia!

I made a second card, slightly different, because Michelle deserves a one of a kind card!
I used the 5349 – Koalas Set from the Funny Farm series.

These koalas are just so darned cute and come with several fun sentiments.
I framed the main image with 5063 – Rectangle A2 Double Stitched Dies.

I also made a graduation card using the 5277 – Graduation Set.

My son's college colors were black and gold so the giraffe was perfect.

I cut the sentiment on the front of the card using the 5133 – Flag Double Stitched Dies.

Copics used on Koala cards:
YG07, YG17, N0, N2, T4, R01, R85, Y13, Y18, Y19, Y26
LePen 0.3

Copics used on Grad card:
E81, N0, R81, T3, E33, E87, BG000, BG01

Welcome to the Real World Graduation Card by Tasha!

 Happy Friday Ai Fans!

Tasha here with a colorful graduation card created with the Ai 5277-Graduation Set

To begin, I stamped the happy elephant grad with black ink and colored it with Copic Markers. This image could be used for any age and the elephant looks so happy holding his diploma!

After I was done coloring the elephant, I cut the image out and started to create the background. I was inspired by the Earth image and made a cool sky design with stencils. I love the mix of clouds & sun rays in the background and the yellow gives a glowing look to the design.

The sentiment "Welcome to the Real World" was stamped in a teal color and coordinates with the blue colors used throughout the card. I also added a pretty blue glitter paper to frame the greeting and center card; the sparkle looks fantastic when the light shines on it!

Lastly, I added layers of pattern paper and black cardstock before attaching the card to a white 6"x6" card base. I hope you enjoyed today's project and are inspired to create a graduation card with the Art Impressions Graduation Set!

Have a great day!

Proud Nurse Graduation Card by Reneé Matarese

 Hello Ai fans!

I have an acquaintance that recently saw some RN cards that I shared on my Facebook page.

She has a niece that's graduating from nursing school at Penn State University and asked if I would replicate one of them in Penn State's blue and white colors.

This was her favorite design, so here it is in blue and white.

The stamps are all from 4899 – Proud Nurse Set.
I also used the 5063 – Rectangle A2 Double Stitched Dies.
The RN was cut using 5072 – Block Letters Die Set.

I hope her niece enjoys the card. Nurses are so important to every last one of us.
We need to show them that they're appreciated!

Copics used:

B28, B66, B95, C0, C3, C8, T4, E02, E21,
E23, E25, E31, E39, E40, E51, E74

Cool Hat Bro! Card by Tasha!

Happy Friday Ai Fans!

Tasha here sharing a new card perfect for a special 2021 Grad! This card was created with the Graduation Stamp Set and this owl has to be the cutest grad image ever!

This smart owl is so fun and I love his cool shorts! I wanted the shorts to really stand out, so I colored them with a pretty lime green color and used the same color on his little grad cap tassel!

I stamped the sentiment "Cool Hat Bro!" in black; this is a great sentiment for a Grad Cap card fold!

To complete the card, I stamped "Congrats" under the cap and left enough room for a personal greeting. This is one of my favorite card folds and I can't wait to send these out to some special 2021 grads!

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a wonderful day!

Class of 2021 Card by Tasha!

 Hi Ai Fans!

Tasha here sharing a new graduation card created with the fun #5277 - Graduation Set!

This center-step fold is so festive and the animal pair fits perfectly on the center card. I love the little birdie with the grad cap!

Both sentiments were stamped with black ink on to white card stock and I matted all the layers with light blue glitter paper; so pretty! I also cut 2021 out of the same white paper and attached the numbers to each side of the card.

Lastly, a simple banner on the bottom sentiment and three enamel dots completed the design. I think this fun card is perfect for any graduate!

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a wonderful day!

Cool Hat Bro | By Jessica Shier

Hello Ai Fans!

Welcome back to the blog. It's Jessica here today and I have a cute graduation card to share with you. I know we are living in a world of uncertainty but hopefully there is an end in sight and those that will graduate will still be able to, however that may look. Let's make certain to bring some cheer to those moments when we can.

I'm using the super cute Graduation set. I love all the fun animals, of course, but this giraffe is just adorable! I stamped the giraffe and his little bird friend on to a piece of Accent Opaque white card stock with Gina K. Amalgam ink. I did use Copic markers to color this one in so I'll have the list of those down below. This is another great example of the shading examples that are available on the Art Impressions packaging. I follow that and love how it turned out.

After coloring in the Giraffe image I stamped it again really quick on to a piece of Inkadinkado masking paper. You can find this masking paper in the Ai shop! I fussy cut my masked image out and placed it over the first one. I did stamp and cut the whole image. I will be using that as a mask for the ground and sun in blending too.
In the Graduation set there is a really cool stamp that is a bunch of graduation hats. I stamped that image over the top so that it looked like the hats were falling behind the Giraffe. Before coloring the hats in I used a strip of masking paper and used it as a mask for the ground. I added some shading with some light brown inks and also ink blended the sun with a stencil. Then removed the masks and colored in the hats. After that I stamped the sentiment and die cut my panel with a Rectangle Double Stitch die.

The Giraffe set is part of the New Release sale!
Now through March 29th 2020.

I focused my colors on blue and yellow, which I think is a pretty popular color for graduations. Mine were orange and black though lol. I like how you can color these to fit any school colors. Alright that is it from me!

Thank you so much for joining me today.
Happy Stamping!
