Nurse's Prescription by Dori Mendiola

Happy Thursday AI Friends!

Today I have a fun card using the #4899 - Proud Nurse stamp set.  A friend of mine is a nurse and I knew she would appreciate this birthday card and the funny sentiment included in this stamp set.  She may use that line for some of her patients.  LOL!

I made this a fun fold card using a magnet for the closure.  I hid it under the paper layers so you only hear the snap when it closes.  What is it about that sound that makes it so fun to open and close the card?  šŸ˜‚

To make the card base, I cut a piece of 5 1/2" x 7 1/4 " heavy cardstock.  I scored it along the 7 1/4" side at 3" and 6".  This will make it an A2 card size.  Fold and burnish each score line in opposite directions.  Create your mat panels for each of the sections.   I used the #5873 - Mini Birthday PP for the pattern paper panels.

For the front panel, I stamped the image onto copic friendly paper with Memento black ink and colored with my copic markers listed below.  I then die cut the panel using the #6048 - Scalloped Rectangle dies as well as the larger pink panel.  The blue panel in the middle is cut to fit between the two scallop rectangles.   I adhered the matted image panel to the folded right side only of the card.  The left side of the card will close under the image panel.

The sentiment on the left side of the card is from my stash.   I figured that went perfectly with the front sentiment, plus I got to include myself in on the wine splurge.  LOL!

Thanks for joining me today!  Have a great day and keep creating!

Prescription for wine by Sharon Caudle

 Hello AI Fans!

Hope you're having an awesome start to your week! My card today features #4899 Proud Nurse Set from the Work and Play line at Art Impressions! There are so many wonderful stamp sets in this line! Be sure to pop over to Art Impressions and check them out! I stamped her onto Cryogen White paper which has a very subtle hint of glitter in it from Mica that is added to the paper. When I say subtle, I have to hold it up to my Ott light and move it around at different angles to make sure I've got the correct paper. However sometimes it can show up in your pictures if you use a flash.  I just love how the markers take to the paper. I then colored her up with Copic markers which are listed below.

Thanks so much for stopping by for a visit today and hope you have a wonderful crafty day!

Copics used:

skin: E000, E00, E11, R20, R35 (lips)
Hair: E33, Y13, Y15

Proud Nurse Graduation Card by ReneƩ Matarese

 Hello Ai fans!

I have an acquaintance that recently saw some RN cards that I shared on my Facebook page.

She has a niece that's graduating from nursing school at Penn State University and asked if I would replicate one of them in Penn State's blue and white colors.

This was her favorite design, so here it is in blue and white.

The stamps are all from 4899 – Proud Nurse Set.
I also used the 5063 – Rectangle A2 Double Stitched Dies.
The RN was cut using 5072 – Block Letters Die Set.

I hope her niece enjoys the card. Nurses are so important to every last one of us.
We need to show them that they're appreciated!

Copics used:

B28, B66, B95, C0, C3, C8, T4, E02, E21,

Nurses Call the Shot by Bri Firth

Hello Ai Fans - Bri here! Today, I am sharing a female-empowered card featuring the Proud Nurse Set. I decided to base this card for the "Take the Cake" challenge on my sister who is a nurse. Keep reading below for more details on this creation.

I used Candied Apple and Picked Raspberry Distress Oxide inks to create a ombre background on light pink cardstock. Next, I used Opal Deco Foil with a retired X Stencil to create the overlay. The Opal Deco Foil was a little more translucent than I expected so I used white acrylic paint to add a little more contrast to the background.

I used the Banner Double Stitched Die Set to create the sentiment banner. The shot image and sentiment were stamped in embossing ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder.

The nurse is colored with Copic alcohol markers. The colors I used are listed below. To finish the card I added blue-green enamel dots to coordinate with the nurses scrubs.

Check back next week for more Ai inspiration made by me!

Proud Nurses by ReneƩ Matarese

Hello Ai fans!

My son has a friend that recently graduated as an RN.
These are 3 variations on the card that I made her.

I have used this set so many times!  I sent dozens of cards to medical personnel during Covid and have made many during my health battles over the last year as thank you cards.

The Band-Aid is one of my favorites in the set!  How cute!
My rectangles were cut using 5063 – Rectangle A2 Double Stitched Dies.

This set would be great paired with the 5332 – Health Mini Dies.

Here's my last card.  Although very similar, I made each card a little different because I like each one to be unique.

The insides of all three is the same.  I used two of the smaller images from the set as well as another sentiment.

My card also goes along with the recent Blog Hop that
Art Impressions sponsored for Women's Day.

Copics used:
E21, E30, E99, R81, Y15, T3, BG05, BG10, BG3

Happy Birthday Co-Worker Cards by Tasha!

 Happy Friday Ai Fans!

Tasha here sharing two cards inspired by the Ai You Take The Cake Challenge! For my cards I used the 5255-Birthday Cake Set and the 4899-Proud Nurse Set. I love this nurse stamp!

Both of my cards are almost identical, but I used different paper colors and colored the nurses with different skin tones. I always enjoy coloring people and clothing!
The nurse is from the 4899-Proud Nurse Set and the cute cupcake is from the 5255-Birthday Cake Set. The little cupcake works perfectly with the nurse image.
The Center-Step Easel card fold is also fun to use on this design since it allows the nurse to stand up. This card would be great for someone to display on their desk at work or home!

Lastly, I stamped "Happy Birthday Co-Worker!" with black ink and added layers of glitter paper and cardstock to complete the card.

I hope you enjoyed today's cards and will participate in the Ai You Take The Cake Challenge!

Proud Nurse Card by Jil Lebel

<

Hello Ai fans!

I used the Proud Nurse stamp set for this snarky card. I plan to use this as a get well card, but this image could be used for many occasions.
I started by stamping the images onto Spectrum Noir Ultra Smooth card stock with Gina K Black Amalgam ink and colored them with Copic markers.  The colors I used will be listed at the end of this post.   I then cut the images out with Cutterbee scissors and set them aside.  I stamped the greeting onto a thin strip of white card stock using Versafine Clair Nocturne ink.
I started with a piece of 4" x 5 1/4" Spectrum Noir Card stock and stamped the cross, syringe, stethoscope & bandaid randomly around the outside of the paper with Gina K Amalgam ink.  I then colored them in with Copic Markers.  I then attached it to an A2 card.  I layered a white card stock oval.  I colored the oval with Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide ink and layered it to the center of the card with foam tape.  I then cut the greeting with the smallest oval and attached it to the oval.  I also added the nurse with foam squares.
Copic Colors Used:
Skin - E11, E00, E000
Scrubs - B95, B93. B91
Grey - C3, C1
Red - R27, R05
Tan - E35, E33, E31

Thanks for stopping by and Have a Great Day!

My 10 year Art Impressions anniversary and GIVEAWAY! by ReneƩ Matarese

Hello Ai fans!

Today is a big day for me, or at least the next couple days are.

How long have YOU been an Art Impressions fan?
For me it's been about 12 years.

Back when there were land lines in houses I can remember walking in from work and hearing my phone ring.  I answered the call and was invited to be a part of the Art Impressions Design Team.

I accepted the invitation and have never looked back.

Tomorrow is my 10 YEAR ANNIVERSARY!!
How lucky am I??!!

For my 10 year anniversary I have a couple things...

First off... I have a giveaway!
Be sure to scroll all the way past my cards for the giveaway.

Secondly, I've had some medical issues the last few months.

My cards are Thank You cards for my medical team.

I made a few different versions because I have quite the staff!
Don't I sound fancy?? lol!

This set comes with several different adorable verses and
accessory stamps like the cute band-aid.

On my last card I modeled the black and white dotted mug over one that I have and love.
I'm planning on taking a goodie basket to them as well.  I hope they enjoy it!

For my third card I switched up the colors and paper.

I accessorized with some enamel dots and a button nurses hat.

Now...for the REALLY fun part.  For my anniversary I have a gift for YOU!
Since it's July I figured I'd give away a Christmas set because who doesn't love Christmas is July?

5353 – Large Snowflake Dies

These dies are so beautiful and are perfect for any winter craft even if you don't make cards.  You can use them on scrapbook layouts, ornaments and any other craft you love to do.

In order to be eligible all you need to do is leave a comment telling me if you like or don't like snow, or, maybe you've never even seen snow in person?  I know Art Impressions has fans from all of the country and the world so that's possible too!

Contest closes at Midnight PST Saturday, July 10th.
I'll announce the randomly drawn winner next Sunday on the blog.
Good luck!

I'll leave you with this...
This was my very first Design Team post way back on July 5th, 2011.
