Happy Valentine's Day!

Happy Valentine's Day Art Impressions Friends!

Tasha here, sharing a new Valentine's Day card created with the fun 5181-Happy Mailbox Cubbies stamp set. I absolutely adore the Art Impressions cubbies sets, and this one is perfect for spreading Valentine's cheer!

To make this card, I started by stamping the mailbox and all the tiny letters with black ink. I then cut everything out using the included dies, which made assembling the pieces a breeze. One of my favorite parts of this set is the variety of envelopes and packages you can mix and match to create a personalized design.

Next, I created the background by gluing die-cut grass onto a cloud-patterned paper. I used the 5062 - Rounded Rectangle A2 Double Stitched dies to cut the center panel; I love the stitched detail!

To finish the design, I layered metallic pink and teal cardstock, white cardstock, and Art Impressions heart-patterned paper. The combination of textures and colors adds dimension and a festive Valentine's Day vibe!

I hope you enjoyed today's card creation and feel inspired to craft your own Valentine's Day projects.

Congratulations to you both! Enjoy your new stamps.

Tasha is our Featured Artist and for those of you who don't know, she is the QUEEN of white gel pens.
I just know that you're going to love what she created. I learned something from her. I didn't know that white gel pens come in different sizes like Microns or other markers. Cool!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hi everyone, Tasha here sharing a new card created with the fun Happy Mailbox Cubbies Set. I love all the mailboxes and it was so much fun customizing the envelopes with my white paint/gel pens!

I started by stamping all the images with black hybrid ink and used the included coordinating dies to cut everything out. The dies cut everything perfectly and makes the mailbox openings, so all you need to do is decorate!

After I had all the images cut, it was time to start coloring. I used Copic Markers and my white gel pens for my project. I am a big fan of adding white accents to my cards and this challenge is the perfect time to get really creative with white details!

I used different types of white ink pens to make my designs. My favorites include a fine paint pen and the #5, #8, and #10 sized white gel pens, I usually mix and match these on my cards. the #5 is really small and is great for eyes, or adding cute details to small critters or floral stamped images.

For the background, I made puffy clouds with Distress Oxide Ink and a cloud stencil. I just used one color of ink for the sky and love the soft blue and white color combination.

For the ground, I used a slimline grass die and green polka dot pattern paper. The dots add so much detail and go with the highlights theme.

For the greeting, I stamped "Sending a Little Hello" on to white paper and added layers of glitter paper and pink card stock to bring in more color and sparkle. I also attached the greeting to the card with foam tape to raise it up a bit.

Lastly, I added a pretty pastel pink scalloped frame and attached additional layers of silver glitter paper, deep pink card stock, and a piece an Art Impressions heart pattern paper. I love the tiny hearts and the colors coordinate well with the shades used on the mailboxes.

I hope you enjoyed todays project and are inspired to join in the "Highlights" Challenge!

Happy Mail Cards by Crystal

Hi AI fans! This week I played with the Happy Mailbox stamp set from the Cubbies collection. I made two cards this week with this Cubbies stamp set.  I stamped the images in with Versafine black ink so I could water color then in. I love coloring with alcohol markers but sometimes I do like to do something different. I just add a little color from the aqua pen to the edge of the images then I take a water brush and pull the color out over the image. I love the look of water coloring.

For the first card I adhered the mail box to a red piece of card stock that I had die cut out with a double stitched square die. I stamped the sentiment "Sending smiles across the miles" onto a stitched banner die.

I adhered the red die cut square to a piece of pattern paper. I then adhered the whole panel to a 4 1/4" X 5 1/5" card base.

I added the mail boxes to black card stock I thought they would pop more with a black background. I stamped the sentiment "Happy MAIL!" to the bottom of the card.

I adhered the black card stock to some pattern paper. I then adhered the whole panel to a 4 1/4" X 5 1/5" card base.

Happy Stamping!

Christmas Mailbox Card

Hello Ai fans!

I used the Happy Mailbox Cubbies stamp and die set to make a Christmas card.  I have been meaning to try it for a while.  I miss seeing snow, so I had to add some snow to the card.
I started by stamping the images onto Canson XL watercolor paper with Versafine Clair Nocturne ink and painter them with Daniel Smith watercolors.  I then cut the images out with the matching dies that come in the set.
I cut an Rectangle A2 Double Stitched rectangle from the Lawn Fawn Perfectly Plaid Christmas paper and attached it to a pearl A2 card.I colored a piece of cardstock with a light layer o Tumbled Glass Distress ink with a Mini Ink Dabber.  I also cut it out with the Rectangle A2 Double Stitched Dies. I attached the images over the background being sure not to glue down the doors that open.  I generously splattered the entire card with white paint. I stamped the greeting into the upper left corner with Versafine Clair Nocturne ink.

Thanks for stopping by and Have a Great Day!

Sending Smiles! by ReneƩ Matarese

Hello Ai fans!

As you know I've been making cards to thank essential workers during the Covid quarantine.  This time around it was postal workers.

I made a few copies...one for my postman, one for our local post office and one for my sister's friend who is a postal worker.  She said they were swamped and working so much overtime that he rarely saw his family.

The doors on the mailbox open to reveal all the mail!
Also, the flag goes up and down.

Here's the inside.

This is the second version that I made.
Some of the letters are from 5181 – Happy Mailbox Cubbies.

The thank you verse is from the 5102 – Succulents Set.

Copics used:

B18, B24, B26, R37, R85,
