The Perrfect Halloween Card by Tasha!

 Happy Friday Ai Fans!

Tasha here sharing a new Halloween card inspired by the current "Feeling Blue" Challenge. I LOVE all the Art Impressions Halloween sets, but the 5506 - Peek-a-Boo Set has become a favorite; this little witch and kitty are just too cute!

I have never thought of using blue colors on a Halloween card, but totally think all these blue shades made a cool night scene. To go with the theme, I used three shades of blue Distress Oxide ink for the sky and all my blue markers on the coloring. It was fun to see this design come together and the moon looks so cool with the blue clouds.

To coordinate with the blue color, I decided to add pops of yellow and orange on the girl and cat. I usually make black cats for Halloween, but this sweet orange cat looks adorable!

For the greeting, I embossed "Happy Halloween" directly on to the card. The bright white letters look awesome against the dark blue ground and it's the perfect size for so many projects.

Lastly, I added layers of black card stock, blue glitter paper, and a web pattern paper to complete the design. I hope you enjoyed this card and are inspired to participate in the Art Impressions "Feeling Blue" Challenge!

Frankly, You're Awesome Card by Tasha!

Happy Friday Ai Fans!

Tasha here sharing a Halloween card featuring the fun 5509-Peek-a-Boo Set! This new stamp set has quickly become a favorite and this little Frankenstein character is just too cute!

To give a Halloween vibe to the background, I added golden clouds and attached a scary looking tree. I also glued little enamel eyes on the tree to look like bats or some type of creatures were watching from the shadows; I think this adds to the spooky look!

The little Frank character was stamped with black ink and colored with Copic Markers. I used the coordinating dies (included in the set) to cut him and the pumpkin out. He is just the happiest looking monster!
Lastly, I stamped "Frankly, I think you're awesome!" and added grass in a deep olive green shade, layers of black cardstock, and a pretty pattern paper. This card makes me smile and it's perfect to gift to someone special this Halloween!

I hope you enjoyed today's project and are having a fabulous day!

Frankly, I Think You're Awesome!

If you're a fan of Halloween and over the top cuteness, then you will love the new 5506 Peek-a-Boo Set. The images in this set just make you smile.

This is a pop-up card style that creates lots of dimension but still allows the card to be flat and put in a card envelope. The minute the card comes out of the envelope, it pops up so that the background is about 1/2" from the front of the card. It's really cool in person because the webs and bats cast a shadow on the background. Sharon Caudle created a similar pop-up card style this past Thursday. We were inspired by Jennifer McGuire and her recent video showing this technique. The acetate window makes it a little hard to photograph without a lot of glare but I managed to get this view of it.

I inked up the A2 background panel using Oxide Inks in Wilted Violet with Black Soot on the edges. I added stars by splattering Dr. Ph. Martins Bleed Proof White ink on the panel. I cut an A2 sized front panel in black and cut a rectangle into the center of it it using the 5063 Rectangle A2 Double Stitched Dies. I cut the green scalloped frame and added it to the panel. I cut a slightly smaller acetate rectangle from recycled packaging and glued it to the back of the front panel. I used the 6452 Web Dies Set to cut several webs, pumpkin and spiders and glued them to the front panel. Then I attached the front panel to the back by creating accordion-style pop-up mechanisms on each side before connecting the front and back panels with the mechanism. The completed pop up piece was glued to the front of a black A2 card front. The result is a super pop-up card with absolutely no bulk. Here's a peak at the pop-up side mechanism from the side.

In this close-up you can better feel for the height and dimension this card style creates. The spider web and bat shadows are a neat effect.

I colored Frank, the Vampire and cat in the stamp set and cut them out. I also stamped and cut out the sentiment from the set. I arranged the pieces as shown and adhered them with liquid glue.

Have a FabBOOlous Halloween Card by Tasha!

 Happy Friday Ai Fans!

Tasha here sharing a Fall card featuring the new 5506 – Peek-a-Boo Set! I LOVE this set and the little witch is so much fun to color!

I wanted this card to be Halloween-themed, but not scary, so I used orange and pink colors to keep it bright and happy! I used a cloud stencil and pink ink for the sky and made the grass orange instead of green. I also added sequins to the sky for extra sparkle!

This set includes several greetings, but the "Have a FabBOOlous Halloween" one is perfect for this design. I stamped it with pink ink and layered it with black card stock to keep it from blending into the background.

Lastly, I stenciled black bats to the background and added four enamel dots before attaching the card to Halloween bat pattern paper. I like all the bats!

Trick or Treat Shaker Card by Tasha!

 Happy Friday Ai Friends!

Tasha here sharing a Halloween shaker card created with the cute 5506-Peek-a-Boo Set!

This set has quickly become a new Fall favorite and I love the little witch image! I stamped her with black ink and used Copic Markers for the coloring. I think she looks so sweet with her little outfit and pumpkin bucket; she is ready to get some candy!
The greeting "Happy Halloween" is included in the set and was also stamped with black ink. This black & white sentiment looks great with all the colors and patterns used throughout the card!

Lastly, I embossed a leaf design on the shaker background and ink blended with Distress Oxide Ink. I added sequins in Halloween/Fall colors and attached a festive polka dot frame. I also added layers of glitter paper, black card stock, purple card stock, and a colorful polka dot paper to complete the card.

Thank you for checking out today's Fall project and I hope you are inspired to create a Halloween shaker card with the new 5506-Peek-a-Boo Set!

Have a wonderful day!

Happy Halloween by Sharon Caudle

 Hello AI Fans!!

So I'm sure you've seen the adorable new sets just released by Art Impressions! Today I'm showing you the oh so cute Peek-a-Boo Set #5506!! These are the cutest little Halloween characters ever!! I also added one of the little ghosts from 4927 Holiday Mansion accessory set which contains both Halloween and Christmas images! These were all stamped onto Cryogen White paper and then colored with Copic markers which are listed below. I love coloring Dracula with a white face.  In order to accomplish that, I leave the face uncolored and then used a warm gray marker to create some shadows. I also added pale pink cheeks and think it gives them a true vampire look.

Thanks for stopping by today and hope to see you again soon!
