Hatty Birthday! Card by Tasha

Happy Friday Art Impressions friends!

Tasha here sharing a new shaker card featuring the fun 5404-Miss Set. I love making birthday cards, and adding a shaker element makes it feel extra festive and special!

To start, I stamped the lady and her birthday hat with black hybrid ink and colored them with Copic Markers. The coordinating dies included in this set made cutting the images quick and easy; and I love that the hat die is designed to fit perfectly on top of her head!

For the shaker, I used the 5063-Rectangle A2 Double Stitched Dies along with foam tape to create a raised frame. I added a piece of “Happy Birthday” patterned paper for the background and filled it with pretty sequins before sealing it up. On the acetate, I stamped “Hatty Birthday” and added a layer of silver glitter paper for extra sparkle.

To finish the card, I layered gray, white, and pink cardstock with more glitter paper for a coordinated look. A few white enamel dots were the perfect final touch to complete this fun, celebratory design.

Stars and Stripes Challenge Happy Birthday by Sharon Caudle

 Hello AI Fans!

Happy Monday everyone! I hope you had a wonderful weekend! As you can see, I took a totally different approach to the Stars and Stripes Challenge that is going on right now. I decided not to go the patriotic red, white, and blue. I love to celebrate the 4th of July like other Americans, but this time I wanted to approach the challenge in a different way. So I chose a striped paper from the beautiful assortment of papers in #5873 Mini Birthday Journal Paper Pack and then grabbed a star balloon from another set, and used 5404 Miss Set from the Hats Off line. I ADORE that hat!!!  I stamped the images and colored them with Copic markers which are listed below.

Thanks so much for stopping by for a visit today! Until next time - stay crafty!!

For April Showers you'll need an umbrella! by Reneé Matarese

 Hello Ai fans!

I'm having some fun with the new challenge here on the blog.

As I flipped through my stamp book trying to decide what to do, the pheasant hat from 5404 – Miss Set
caught my eye.  I thought it looked a little like an umbrella.

If I could turn that hat into an umbrella that would be perfect for the challenge!
And, the way she's holding out her hand, she's just begging to hold something.

I Googled photos of pheasants and tried to color him somewhat realistically.

My trusty Dr. PH Martin's Bleed Proof White was perfect to add the white to his feathers.

I put the pole for the umbrella through the slit in the hat and made the handle out of a letter J die that I found to be just the right size.  Can you see the Wink of Stella on the rain drops?  I love sparkle anywhere I can add it!

I used 5543 – Journal Template Die Set to create the border.  It wasn't long enough for my card so I just cut it twice and pieced it together.  You can see it a little but it wasn't so obvious that I didn't want to use it.  I used the 5562 – Journal Letter Die Set for my April Showers phrase.

I love finding creative new ways to use my stamps.  Her hat probably would have been coverage from the rain all by itself but why not turn it into an umbrella for all of the April Showers?!

Copics used:

E17, E35, E51, E84, E93

Time for Wine Card by Tasha!

Happy Friday Ai Fans!
Tasha here sharing a mini slimline card featuring the fun Ai 5404 - Miss Set!

This set set quickly became a favorite last year and I just love the variety of hats! To mix it up, I decided to use a wine-themed hat from the 5405-Mrs. Set. It's so awesome that the hats from these two stamp sets work with both characters. This allows you to get more creative and really customize your projects.

I wanted this card to pop, so I used a decorative stencil to give the background a cool look. Green and purple always look great together and these colors work well for a Wine-themed card! I also used two shades of green ink to give a glowing look to the background to spotlight the stylish lady.

The greeting "Wine a little Laugh a lot" was stamped on bright white cardstock and I used layers of green glitter paper and purple textured paper to bring in sparkle and color. This greeting is great for birthday's or a hello card anytime of the year.
Lastly, I added little white details to the clothing before attaching the card to a mini slimline card base.

Thank you for checking out today's project and I hope you all have a wonderful day!

Coffee-Themed Birthday Card by Tasha

Happy Friday Ai Fans!

Tasha here sharing a new slimline coffee-themed card created with the super fun Hat's Off Miss Set!

This stamp set includes several hats, but this coffee one is my favorite; I love the straw too! The image was stamped with black ink and colored with Copic Markers. This set also includes the coordinating dies making it super easy to cut the images out!

I wanted the background to be bright and unique, so I created a background with a stencil and blue Distress Oxide Inks. The sentiment was also stamped with a deep teal ink color to match the woman's outfit; I love these pretty blue shades!

To complete the card, I added layers of white and teal cardstock and a layer of mirrored paper. The mirrored paper adds a nice shine to the design! After adding all the layers, I attached the card panel to a white heavy-weight card base to complete the project.

Thank you for stopping over today and I hope you enjoyed this slimline card!

I used the 5404 – Miss Set from the Hats Off Series.

This series of stamps is SO FUN!! There's a Mr., a Mrs. and a Miss and the hat choices are so cute and can be interchanged between sets.  The chef hat comes in the Mr. set but I myself and many of my female friends love to cook! I myself couldn't choose so I got them all!

Birthday Pheasant by Bri Firth

Hello Ai Fans - Bri Firth here! Today, I am sharing an elegant card design featuring the Miss Set by Art Impressions. The Miss Set is part of Ai's Hats Off collection. Check out the all of the 2021 releases here. This card is featured on my personal blog today, check it out here

I decided for this wacky birthday card to pair the adorable woman with the pheasant hat and the coordinating sentiment. I colored the woman and her hat with my Copic markers. I used the Foliage Leaves stencil to coordinate with the bird theme and to make a feather-like background on the card front and stitched oval. I used Fired Brick and Peacock Feathers Distress Oxide inks to ink blend with the stencil. I used Vintage Photo Distress ink to stain the edges of the edge cuts. To finish the card I added coordinating enamel dots.

Check back next week for more Ai inspiration made by me!

Miss Set Girly Card by Jil Lebel

Hello Ai fans!

I used the Miss stamp and die set to make this super girly card.  I used a bunch of different pinks.  .
I started by stamping the images onto Spectrum Noir Ultra Smooth card stock with Gina K Black Amalgam ink and colored them with Copic markers.  The colors I used will be listed at the end of this post.  I then cut the images out with the matching dies that come in the set.  I glued the hat onto her head.  It has s slit in it so it fits over her head easily.
I started the card with an A2 card base.  I cut out three layers from white cadstock and cut their edges. I yused the Spellbinders Large die of the month from April 2021.  the bottom layer has flowers along the edge.  The next two layers were cut with the dotted layer.  I cut out additional flowers from the set and colored them with copic colors before I attached them over the flowery edge.  The layer on top of it is colored with Worn Lipstick Distress ink and attached over the flowery layer.  The top layer is colored with Kitsch  Flamingo Distress ink and layered onto the card with foam tape.  I then attached Miss to the front of the card with foam tape.  I added some white and clear gems around the entire card front.
Copic Colors Used:
Skin - E11, E00, E000
Hair - E71
Lips - R85

Hatty Birthday by Crystal

Hi Ai fans! This week I made a card using the Miss Set. This set is full of fun witty sentiments that pair perfectly with all of the different hats she can wear. I stamped the image onto smooth white card stock and colored them in with alcohol markers. I then die cut them out with the coordinating dies that come in the set. All of the hats in the set have little slits that get die cut when you die cut them out so the hat will fit on her head perfectly.

For my card I went with the birdcage hat and used the sentiment "A little birdie told me it was your birthday" which goes perfect with the bird cage. I also added the sentiment "Hatty Birthday!" I added lots of spring colors to this card to go with the bird cage and flowers on the hat.

Spectrum Noir Markers: AB1, AB3, BT1, DR1, CT4, GY1, GY4, BO1, LG1, LG3, DR1, CR1, BG2

Happy Stamping!

Hat's Off Gift Tag - Paper Doll Fun! by Janet

Hello Ai Fans! So if you watch our blog, you know Ai has a BRAND NEW just released line called Hat's Off. This is such a fun concept and I truly enjoyed creating this gift tag using the Hat's Off Miss stamp and die set.

This tag is long and skinny which I think looks especially great on gift bags. The tag may look familiar. It is actually made from the Bible Journaling Bookmark Die set. I used a partial die cut technique so that it would come out as a tag without the tab that is normally used to insert it over a page. The tag also has a place to store the hats on the back. I used the Matchbook Envelope Die to hold them when not in use. The idea is that the recipient can take the hats on and off and enjoy seeing the different looks that creates for the lady.

I've got a video showing you how I made this tag as well as a close up of all the hats, mask and the sentiments that are perfect for each hat style. Just click on the link below:

I hope you take a look at the new Hats Off line at the store. They are really wonderful fun and I know you'll get as big a kick out of these as I do.

Happy Creating!
