"LOVEly" Wedding card by Reneé Matarese

Hello Ai fans!

Today I'm sharing a wedding card that I made.

I've used two different sets to make my card.

The flowers are from 5272 – Blossom Border Set from the Bible Journaling series.

The cake that represents the "O" in LOVE is from 5254 – Wedding Cake Set from the Basics line.
The background panel was created using the Quatrafoil Panel from Amazing Paper Grace at Spellbinders.  I couldn't find a link so I think it may be retired.

I used more of the flowers on the inside where I add MR & MRS.
They're the same flowers from the front of the card except I used the full stamp.  On the front of the card I trimmed off the end piece.

Copics used:
E18, E79, E87, YG91, YG95,
V0000, V06, V12, Y28, C0, T4

Hello Ai fans!
Today's project changed as I painted.  I am using the 5272 Blossom Border Set, and had intended to paint it down one side of my rectangle, and then do a large sentiment quote beside it - but somehow, I thought a cottage would work, and ended up painting an entire scene!

I cut the largest 5063 Double Stitched Rectangle die from Canson XL Watercolor paper, and then set up my Blossom Border in my Misti.  This made it easy for me to colour each section of my image - so I started with my Tombow Dual Brush Marker in #533 Peacock on all of the buds and flowers.  After stamping I could easily see areas I'd missed, or wanted darker, and stamped them a second time.
Next I used #249 Hunter Green to colour the leaves in the same method.  Using my damp #1 paintbrush (the smallest brush was the best choice for such small areas), I pulled out the colour from all the sections.  I scribbled some #126 Light Olive onto my palette, and added it to the leaves to brighten them up a little, and darkened the flowers with a little #565 Deep Blue.  I pulled out the colours to paint a soft halo around the floral border - and this is when my scene idea started to stick in my mind!

I coloured the cottage from 4958 - WC Cottages Set in #565, stamped it onto my Stamp Positioner, and then reinked it with #969 Chocolate - stamping it with the help of my positioner.  After softening the lines and pulling out the colour, I used #565 on the large mountains from 5198 - WC Mountain Set, again with my positioner.  Using colours on my palette mixed together, I painted in the suggestion of far-off hills, and used #177 Dark Jade to paint the lawn around the cottage.
I used the small rocks from 5128 - As The Deer Set with #N65 Cool Grey 5 to define the edge of the stream, and used the small grass from 5073 - Bible Foliage Set and #177 adding grass to my scene.  Picking up #565 off of my palette, I painted the door, added shadows to the cottage, and the suggestion of the stream.  A little #969 was used on the roof, and to create a dirt path.

I mounted it to my kraft card base after matting with a soft blue, and added the sentiment from 5136 - WC Sentiment Set 2.

Hello,

Have you seen the beautiful, new Bible Journaling release from Art Impressions? So many great stamps and dies you can use in your bibles or on cards.
I made this card by first stamping the frame from the 5203 - Ornate Frames Set inked in 228. I inked the flowers from the new 5273 - Poppy Border Set after inking the greenery in 228 and the flowers in 885. I pulled the color out of the lines, then I added more color to the foliage in a mix of colors from the palette, 173, 177, and 249.

I colored the frame in with 228 on the palette. I added more orange 905 and red 885 from the palette to the flowers. I used the fine tip of the 993 pen to the centers of the flowers, then I used a black extra fine point pen to add the stamens. I used blue 526 on the palette to color around everything and inside the frame.

I stamped the sentiments from the 5228 - SBC Exclusive Daisies Set in Versa Fine black ink.  I fussy cut it out with scissors and used foam to adhere it to my background pieces cut out with the Rectangle Rounded Corner A2 Dies and a die from the Oval Die Set.

Thank you for checking out my blog!  You can find more of my cards on my Instagram account here

Hello Ai Watercolor fans, here is my project for this Watercolor Weekend!  Hope you are staying healthy, happy and crafting!

I started out using the Blossom Border set and Bookmark Die from the Art Impressions New Bible Journaling release--coming NEXT WEEK!!
I started by tracing the Bookmark Die onto a piece of watercolor paper, enough to hold 2 bookmarks.  This will give me a guideline for where I need to place my stamps.

I used one of the borders and inked it up with 177 and 526.  I stamped it along the bottom of the bookmark.  I re-inked it and stamped it a little above the first stamp.  I repeated this one more time and then stamped it again at the top and bottom.  I liked the look of the second generation stamping.

Using water, I softened all of the leaves and blooms with a damp brush.  I used a little more water next to the outside of stamp to pull some of the color into the background.  I stamped the sentiment into a semi-clear spot.

To make the bookmark, I ran the watercolor paper through my big shot using the new Bookmark Die.  I trimmed it down to match where the slit ends.  I cut the bookmark out of Christmas Pine card stock and Neenah Solar White 110 lb card stock to give it some weight.  I glued all the layers together.

These flowers are so fun to watercolor. I hope you will join us this weekend and show us your work using #AIWatercolor!  Have a great weekend!

Hello,

Have you seen the brand new 5223 - Bookmark Dies 10 piece set from Art Impressions? It is fabulous! It comes with two bookmark dies and eight little dies to add embellishments like the heart I added to the top of mine.

This set releases next week on the Art Impressions website, but is available on scrapbook.com or simonsaysstamp.com if you just can't wait!

I made this bookmark by first taping two pieces of paper together so it would be sturdy. I tried it the other way also, but found it works best for me by taping the two pieces together prior to die cutting the bookmark. I cut out a piece of watercolor paper to fit and stamped the cross from the brand new 5268 - Rugged Crosses Set inked in first 565 then in 969. I pulled the color out of the lines and added some of the brown and blue onto the cross from the watercolor palette.  I stamped the vine and grass from the 5073 - Bible Foliage Set inked in 177 and pulled the color up and out. I stamped the taller flowers from the 5074 - Bible Flower Set inked in 177 and 528. I inked the smaller flower in 565 and 177. I used the 565 off the palette to color in the sky and ground.  I used a Wow Embossing Pen and Ranger Distress weathered wood embossing glaze to add the dimension you see on the flowers and the rope on the cross.  I love how this bookmark turned out and I know I will be making many more!

Greetings Ai Family!!
A quick card today, using the harp image from 5199 - Praise Instruments Set:

Using my Tombow Dual Brush Marker #992 Sand, I coloured just the harp strings (as I wanted them to be a lighter tone, and then used #969 Chocolate to colour the frame before stamping it onto my Canson XL Watercolor Paper just left of center.  I scribbled #947 Burnt Sienna onto my palette, and painted it onto the frame, leaving some white areas as hightlights.

With #565 Deep Blue, I stamped the daisy bunch from 5074 - Bible Flower Set, multiple times in different spots around the harp.  Then with #249 Hunter Green and the small sprig in the same stamp set, I added greenery in and around my flowers.  I touched everything with a damp #1 paintbrush to soften the lines, then I pulled out a few of the colours to ground the harp, and add a background of #565.  The sentiment is from 5130 - On The Sparrow Set, stamped in Onyx Black Versafine Ink.  I die cut my scene using a 5062 - Rounded Rectangle A2 Double Stitched Die, and used pop dots to adhere it to a deep purple mat, and onto my card base.

Thank you, ladies, for brightening our day with your simply elegant creations! We absolutely love seeing everyone's personal style show through on each card!

Happy Stamping!
