Hat's Off Gift Tag - Paper Doll Fun! by Janet

Hello Ai Fans! So if you watch our blog, you know Ai has a BRAND NEW just released line called Hat's Off. This is such a fun concept and I truly enjoyed creating this gift tag using the Hat's Off Miss stamp and die set.

This tag is long and skinny which I think looks especially great on gift bags. The tag may look familiar. It is actually made from the Bible Journaling Bookmark Die set. I used a partial die cut technique so that it would come out as a tag without the tab that is normally used to insert it over a page. The tag also has a place to store the hats on the back. I used the Matchbook Envelope Die to hold them when not in use. The idea is that the recipient can take the hats on and off and enjoy seeing the different looks that creates for the lady.

I've got a video showing you how I made this tag as well as a close up of all the hats, mask and the sentiments that are perfect for each hat style. Just click on the link below:

I hope you take a look at the new Hats Off line at the store. They are really wonderful fun and I know you'll get as big a kick out of these as I do.

Happy Creating!

Quick Birthday Gift Tag by Bri Firth

Hello Ai Fans - Bri here! Today I am sharing another birthday themed project featuring the Birthday Cake stamp set. This gift tag was such a quick and easy project! It's perfect for any birthday celebration. This card is also featured on my personal blog, check it out here

First I scored a piece of 3.5" by 8.5" piece of card base cardstock at 4.25". I used the Oval Double Stitched die set to create the gift tag base. Next, I used Memento Tuxedo Black ink to stamp the cake image onto the front of the tag. I used my Copic markers to color the image. The markers I used are listed below. I used Y000 to color the illuminated light around the candles and I used BG000 to add shading to the tag background.

After I finished coloring the tag, I stamped the "Oh Happy Day" sentiment from the WC Sentiments 2 stamp set with Dusty Concord Distress ink onto a sentiment flag die cut from the Flag Double Stitched dies set. I attached the sentiment strip to the side of the tag so I wouldn't cover up too much of the cake image.

Last I used my Crop-O-Dile to punch a hole into the top of the gift tag so I could thread it with yellow twine and attach it to the gift tag! Wasn't this such a fun and easy project?!

Check back next week for more Ai inspiration made by me!

Hello, Ai Watercolor Fans! Welcome back to Watercolor Weekend, where we roundup our favorite projects for your inspiration! We have THREE fabulous watercolor designers on our team, and if you aren't already following them on social media, you're going to want to today, so don't miss out on loads of spring and summer watercolor ideas! Together, we are excited to show you some "May flowers" after quite a bit of April rain (or snow)!

Hello Watercolor Friends,

This is my card for the Art Impressions Watercolor Weekend roundup. It's influenced heavily by Art Impression's Bonnie Krebs' recent Watercolor Wednesday on YouTube. She uses the 2018 Class Exclusive stamp set you can only get by attending one of the shows. I haven't been lucky enough to attend one yet, so I had to use stamps I already owned. I used seven stamp sets and seven markers to create it. See my list of supplies below:

Other Supplies: #4 Brush, Tim Holtz Distress Watercolor Cardstock

My Watercolor Weekend project is a beautiful “Spring Bouquet” tag great for Mother’s Day or any gift giving occasion.

I watercolored the Art Impressions way using a vase, multiple flowers and foliage onto the tag. I then watercolored the same pink flowers and foliage and fussy cut it out. And, then watercolored just a portion of the pink flowers and fussy cut them. I layered each with foam tape onto the tag for a “Faux 3D Decoupage” look. A light wash of color onto the edge of the tag and added a ribbon to finish it off.
Other Products: Foam tape, Ribbon

A perfect hanging spring basket is sometimes all you need to brighten your day. For this weeks watercolor weekend I created this very colorful hanging basket. It was so easy to create and can be done in just a few minutes. I used a few sets to create this project. The best part is by just changing a few colors you can get an entirely different look. This design is so versatile you can add a variety of different sentiments and use it for any occasion. I hope you will give this design a try and share it with us on Instagram (#AIWatercolor).

Thanks, team! We're noticing a theme of pink flowers today! Fans, leave us a comment - what are your favorite aspects of these projects? What did you see that you'd like to try in your own cards? We love how Dot challenged herself to use different stamps to reinvent one of Bonnie's Watercolor Wednesdays. Popping up bundles of flowers like Tricia K. looks like a lot of fun to try! Or, simply placing your image at an angle can add a lot of interest to your card like in Tricia O's!

We hope you get a chance to play with your watercolors this weekend! Happy Stamping!

Christmas Clear Release

Today we have a special project from Cheri to kick off our new challenge! Check it out!

Hello Ai Fans!
Hi, it's Cheri here and today's the New Release of the Ai Thanksgiving and the Christmas Clear sets! Get ready for some serious cuteness with these sets! I got to try out the Sparkle and Cheer set, and of course I wanted to play along with the "Tag It" Challenge as well!
I have to admit that when I am creating a card or tag I don't have anything planned out in my mind! I start with the stamped image and choose papers I would like to use. Then I gather up things that might go with my paper. I may or may not use them all but at least they are in front of me so I can see what I have on hand! I just design as I go LOL.
I started off by stamping and colouring my images with my Copic Markers. I always like to use my Black gel pen for the eyes and on these snowmen I used it on their buttons as well.
Once my images were coloured, I cut them out with my Silhouette machine and also cut out some tags with matching design paper tags, decreasing them in size to create layers. Then I went about assembling the tags and added embellishment details to each tag! I added sentiments from the set to each of the tags as well.
I think they turned out really cute! But then anything snowmen themed is always adorable no matter what you do with them LOL!
