Happy Easter to All My Peeps! by Janet

Now that it's March, Easter will soon be here and that means it's Easter card making time! Yay! Today I chose to use one of the newest Easter sets called 5869-Easter Bunny Puppet Set. This set has many pieces and allows you to dress a boy and girl bunny. The pieces are so cute and a lot of fun to work with. Here I used all the pieces so that you could see them all. The polka dot paper comes from 5873-Mini Birthday Journal Paper Pack and the Easter egg paper is from 5742-Easter Journal Paper Pack. The sentiment is from the super cute 5733-Easter Sentiments Set. Just for fun, I thought it would be cute to make a pink girl bunny.

It starts with a white 6 x 6 card base. I cut a green square at 5 3/4" and glued it to the card. Then I cut a slightly smaller blue polka dot paper square from the Mini Birthday Journal Paper Pack. I cut two layers of grass and tucked the two dressed up rabbits into it. Then I cut a border for the top of the card and stamped and cut out the sentiment. I added three heart enamels as the finishing touch.

Thanks for stopping by today. I hope you'll stop by the store to see all the things you need for your card, journal, and tag making projects.

Friends Forever by Reneé Matarese

 Hello Ai fans!

I have a card today that I made for the Emboss Like a BOSS! challenge
here on the Art Impressions blog.

On the inside I used several of the same sets as well as
a couple of dies from 5543 – Journal Template Die Set.
I love decorating the inside of my cards and do so almost every time.

My embossing powder worked far better on the inside than it did on the front of my card.
I'm not sure if it was because it was a chunkier sentiment?  I'm also really out of practice.
I have so many powder colors and really need to start using them more.  It's such a pretty
effect on cards.  I'll always be partial to the embossing folders but both make wonderful
additions to your cards and crafty projects!

Cakes for all! by Reneé Matarese

 Hello Ai fans!

Today I have lots of birthday love for you!

The current challenge here on the blog is Midnight Snack.
Use food on your card.  This week I'm using cake!  I've created 3 cards.
One in girly pink, one using the same large cake in patriotic colors since
Fourth of July is right around the corner and the 3rd one is for my friend Bob
who will be turning 70 in about 2 weeks.

It's difficult to see but I used Wink of Stella on all 3 cards on the stars and candle flames.

These cakes are so fun and be colored any which way you think your recipient would love.

I love bling so much!  I added some sequins and some metallic stars to this one.

Bob is famous at school for his sweet tooth so these cakes and cupcakes are just perfect!

I tried something new on the inside of his card.  I basically used every stamp in the set.
I removed the Birthday Queen,  To the birthday girl and Treat Yourself sentiments. *I used that one on the front of the card.  I left all the others on the acetate index sheet.  I applied some tape to the acetate so it would adhere to my Stamp Perfect.  In one fell swoop I had the entire inside stamped.  I used one of the little cakes to fill in where the Birthday Queen sentiment left a space.  I like how it turned out.
I'll write his message on the left side of the inside.

Sending Bugs and Kisses by Reneé Matarese

 Happy Sunday everyone!

Today I'm sharing a sweet, whimsical card made from the
5728 – Mushroom Cubbies,
5742 – Easter Journal Paper Pack
and
5463 – Slimline Dies Set

Last week was teacher appreciation week and I received some gifts from some students as well
as some "just because" gifts from friends.  I'll be sharing several thank you cards like this
in the near future.

I just love how cute this set is whether you color it brightly or softly.
Also, the little pieces stand on their own without the adorable main mushroom image.

Bugs & Kisses!

Hello Ai Friends! Today I've got my take on the new 5728-Mushroom Cubbies Set. It has so many cute critters, flowers and an adorable gnome to play with! It is a lot of fun to work on.

I created a background using a plain off-white A2 card base decorated with papers from the Easter Paper Pad. The ovals were cut using the new 5727-Nested Oval Frame dies. The Mushroom Cubbie and all the images were colored with Copic markers and colored pencils. A few epoxy stickers from Doodlebug Design Inc were added as well.

Thanks so much for stopping by today. I hope you'll stop by the store soon for all your card making needs. While you're there, make sure you check out the entire Cubbie line.

Wishing you a very crafty day!
