Keep Me Warm by Dana Warren

Hello AI fans!!

Dana here with a card featuring one of the new Clear Christmas Stamps, Merriest Christmas! I did some monochromatic coloring and used some gorgeous gold washi tape for the background.
The washi tape so gorgeous, it looks like a rich gold tapestry! I added four strips of the washi tape, leaving space between each one, allowing the black card base to show through. Next, I stamped the snowman couple on some water color card stock.

To color the image I went with a monochromatic look and used the Vintage Photo Distress  Marker. I didn't color it with typical strokes, instead patting the paint brush on the image. Squiggle the marker on a palette, add a little water to lighten the color. As I colored the image I used less and less water to get darker tones.

When my coloring was done I used sharp scissors to fussy cut the image out. For the vellum piece behind the image, I found it in my leftovers stash. I stamped the sentiment on the vellum and then adhered it to the card. Then I added the image with foam tape and last adhered a few black enamel dots.

Thanks so much for stopping by!! Happy Stamping!!

Monochromatic cards by Karen Day

Hello Ai fans!
I've veered away from my usual style of bright colours and patterned paper today... to try a little sponging.  Art Impressions has a wonderful collection of "scene building" stamps which I have been itching to use... and as you can see, once I got started, I couldn't stop:
I've used two shades of grey ink and paper, with the occasional bit of black thrown in.  The first few cards are using Deer (Sku#H3236) and Grove of Trees (Sku#H895):

I kept my cards very CAS, so that they can be used for any occasion - I even thought about adding a little glitter to some of the snow so that they could be holiday cards.  The card bases are bright white in reality, even though they appear a little grey - but when I edited them any more, the detail of the sponging disappeared in the photo.  Here's a shot of how I masked the rectangles and moon:

Happy Stamping, everyone!
