Just Add Water by Niccole Kulig

Hello Ai fans!!

Today I am sharing a card I made with the Windows to the World series set called Pleasures Window. I love how simple the windows are but yet they add such a punch to your card.

I started by diagonally cutting my patter paper and adding a strip of glitter paper for a little pop. I put two enamel dots in the upper left corner to even out the card. I colored my window with Copic markers, and did a double frame on it so it stood out a little more. Raised it up with foam tape. 

The sentiment I chose was from the WC - Sentiments Set. I thought the sentiment fit perfectly with what I wanted to say  with my image.   

It came together so quickly I had to make two cards. I can't tell which one I like better ... the square cut window or the window where I fussy cut around the words.  Which one do you like better?? 

In case you are wondering the window says "The pleasures of life are simple, just add water." Next time I want to water color the window.

NEW VIDEO - 2018 Class Exclusive Watercolor

Hello Ai Fans!

Welcome to an exciting Watercolor Wednesday, where we reveal our 2018 Class Exclusive set! Our Apple Tree Window Set is only available by taking a class with us at one of our events in 2018. You can't purchase this set online or in any store, you have to come join a class and all the watercolor fun!

In this video, Bonnie creates a vintage window, surrounded by blooming wisteria, and a sweet little squirrel on the ledge! She starts by inking the window/branches image with Sepia, then adds Pine Green to the branches, and African Violet to the window. After stamping and pulling the color out of the lines and adding vines, Bonnie adds beautiful wisteria around the branches. She uses her Stamp Postioner to get the little squirrel on the windowsill and adds a decorative valance with the fine point of her African Violet marker. Bonnie finshes the image with some added tiny vines next to the squirrel and a wash of Brilliant Yellow around the window.

Hello Ai friends and happy Thursday!

 

Today I am sharing a card using one of the Ai Mini TryFolds.  Here I used the Garden Window MTF Set (4760) .

 

I love how these sets have 2 dies to coordinate with the images so you can peek through the layers to the last image on the inside. They are so fun!

 

The largest image (window here) goes on the card front and the inside of the window frame was die cut.

 

When you open the first fold, there's a set of curtains on the second panel.  The center of this image was die cut as well.

When completely open, the smallest image is on the inside.  This set has a sweet kitten sleeping on a chair.

Girlfriends Wine Tasters by Reneé Matarese

Hello Ai fans!

Today I'm sharing one of my favorite GIRLFRIENDS images from Art Impressions.

Wine Tasters Set (Sku#4383)

Bear with me...there are A LOT of pictures in this post!  I spent nearly a full day assembling two copies of this card and I want to be able to remember it when it's gone!! lol!!  I had to fussy cut 8 barrels, 8 tiny mice, two cheese platters, two sets of Girlfriends, 10 wine bottles and two wine glasses!!  I'm takin' lots of pictures!!

The cheese platter is actually from Luigi (Sku#T2832).

What a happy coincidence that his platter fit perfectly on top of the "wine" barrel.

If you look closely at the Luigi image you'll see that what I've used as a tablecloth is actually his hand holding up the tray.  Pretty cool huh? 

Here's a close up of the Girlfriends and their shiny wine glasses.

The mice may have been a challenge to trim but they were worth every second!  Aren't they the cutest thing ever!  I know no self respecting winery would really let mice run around the tasting rooms but they made this card extra special.  Furries TF (Sku#4208)

Check out the shiny "glass" window with the grapevines hanging from it!

The wall art and the wine bottles were all just printed off the internet. The Wine Taster piece is actually a sign that you can order for your house! I just shrunk it down...WAY down... Cute huh?
