Doggies Need to Stay Hydrated Too! by Reneé Matarese

 Hello Ai fans!

Today I have some dog themed shaker cards for you.

These did not set out to be shakers.
I had cut the dog out with my circle dies and had
intended to leave it just like that with a matte around it.
I still had my snow globe domes out from last week though
and noticed that they would fit perfectly around this little guy.

After stamping and coloring the image I used Diamond Stickles to drip water
out of the tumbler onto the floor.  You can just ignore the little dog hair that attached
itself to my dome...lol! (We'll just say it's there for authenticity)

I have always cut a circle frame to put around the dome when I've
used it in the past but I didn't this time because I wanted to be able to
see the entire tumbler. I used the paw print die to cut a stencil out for the
tumbler. Once I had the die cut OUT, I used a black marker to stencil the
paw onto the tumbler.

I love finishing the insides of my cards as well.
I have so many friends that are dog lovers that will enjoy
this card. I hope you do too!

Hello Ai fans, I am so excited you are joining us today as we announce a new challenge; All for Boys!! This challenge inspired me so much and I can't wait to share with you my projects.

I created a fun card for these cute campers searching for the Birthday Cake :) I used Ole Buck Set and stamped these curious campers and colored them with Copic markers then cut with my mini scissors all around the image.

For the background, I used a Camping paper collection that has camp scenes cards and then backed the campers image with foam tape and attached it to the background. I also grounded the scene with a strip of dark brown paper.

To brighten the card a little bit, I added multiple scraps of colored cardstock behind, yellow, orange then navy.

I used alphabet stickers to add the same sentiment that was in the stamp set "Is that Cake"? :)

I also embellished the card with enamel dots that matched the card colors.

They are so cute :)

I then created an adorable interactive puppy card using the cute Doggy Kisses Set. The set has this adorable puppy that has, almost all his body, wrapped with gauze.

I stamped the puppy twice and colored it with same colors. Cut the back of the puppy from one of them, and cut the front of the other.

I used a pastel aqua background, cut it using Ai Double stitched slimline dies.

For the interactive element I used a pull tab slider die to create a path for the front of the puppy to slide through, I then thread the slider tab through the path opening and glued the front  of the puppy on it so when the tab is pulled out the front of the puppy slides with it.

I glued the other puppy, that has the back only, directly to the background with its body overlapping the other puppy image.so when the front of the puppy is pulled out it would look like the dog is becoming longer. I attached a band aid image where the overlapping of both the puppy images show to cover the cut.

I then added a strip of brown floor below the puppy and die cut the pull tab notch so it is easier to pull out.

I stamped the sentiment that's included in the set on a white cardstock and die cut around it with Ai double stitched banners and attached it with foam tape to my card. I also used the smallest banner from the Banner set and a banner from Ai Journal Die set to die cut two thin banners and tucked them under my sentiment banner and colored them with same Copic shades and finished the card with enamel dots here and there.

Gone Fishing! by Reneé Matarese

 Hello Ai fans!

This summer I had a request for a camping themed card.
My cousin camps all summer long and really wanted a lot on the water.
One of the camp employees went above and beyond to help her with that
and she wanted to thank her.

I used 5187 – Happy Trails Set to represent Mike and Joann.
The sailboat is from the 5325 – Sail Mini Dies.  They love to sit on the
dock and look at the lake so I tried to recreate that scene. My card
fits with the Lions, Tigers, Bears, OH MY! current challenge at Art Impression.
Any crafty project with an animal on it.  I used a dog and fish.  What will you create?

Joann LOVES to fish and so I used the 4900 – Reel Great Guys Set to make the sign
and fish bucket then I used AiCS38 – Doggy Kisses Set because
they have a boxer named Darcy.
I tried to make the dog look like her.

Heard It's Been Ruff

Hi Ai fans! Hope your week is going great! This week I thought I would play with a little bit older stamp set Doggy Kisses. I realized I have never made a card with it and the dog with the cone was calling to me since my foster puppy had a cone on him. Well I didn't end up using the dog image with the cone but I thought this one with his teddy bear was too cute.

I stamped the image onto smooth white card stock with Versafine black ink. I stamped the images onto mask paper too and fussy cute them out to cover the image to stencil the background. I also covered the sentiment up with masking paper. I used a zig zag pattern stencil and inked it in blue and yellow ink over lapping a bit to get some blue.

I Pulled the masking paper off and colored in the images. After everything was dry I die cut it out with a double sided stitched rectangle die. Added it to a larger pattern paper double stitched rectangle die cut. Super fast card with bright colors to hopefully brightens someones day up who might need it.

Hoping for a speedy recovery! by Reneé Matarese

Hello Ai fans!
Today I'm sharing a get well card
made with the AiCS38 –Doggy Kisses Set.

I work in an elementary school so it seems like there's always someone sick.  Cards like this one are always good to have on hand.  I fell in love with this set as soon as I saw it because I love dogs so much.

It's rough being sick but a fun card like this
will hopefully brighten someone's day!

Teenie Weenie Hug | By Jessica Shier

Hello Ai Fans!
This week for Art Impressions I'm using the Dog Twist Ties stamp set. I was really inspired by the sentiment "sending you a teenie weenie hug", So cute! I am a dachshund lover. I wanted a color combination of purple, green and teal, very calming colors.

The fun thing about these Twist Tie style of stamps and dies is that they lock together. The directions on the back of the package are easy to follow and give you the measurements to create your own tryfold card base.  Art Impressions does carry tryfold bases but I found it simple to create my own.

Following the directions on the back of the packaging I scored a 9 1/2'' x 5 1/2'' card base at the 2 3/4'' and 7'' marks. The flaps are where you will stamp the weiner dogs. Each one has a little L on the bottom corners that you don't ink up but align that with the corner of your panels.

After stamping each dog on their panels, I used the coordinating dies and sent them through my die cutting machine. Now that I have everything cut and stamped I can start coloring. I colored one of the dogs black and tan like my little weiner dog, Sobe, and the other in browns.

Using a small acrylic block I stamped the paw print in two different colors all over the front of this card. The paw print is from a different Art Impressions stamps set, Doggy Kisses. I also used one of the sentiments from that set on the inside. First though, I used a Distress Oxide ink to ink blend the inside and stamped the sentiment from the Dog Twist Ties.

The second sentiment on the inside is stamped on a small rectangle die cut. My way of covering up my very crooked first attempt at stamping that sentiment. lol.
