Boo's Cruise Slimline Card by Bri Firth

Hello Ai Fans - Bri Firth here! Today, I am sharing a haunting card design featuring the new Spooky Wagon set. This project is featured on my personal blog today, check it out here

I used coordinating Halloween themed paper to decorate the slimline card. I used the Pull and Slide Die Set from Kindred Stamps to make the Spooky Wagon stroll through the graveyard scene. The tombstone silhouettes are from the Graveyard Scene Craft Die. I decorated the slimline card with vellum spiderweb die cuts from the Web Dies set. The sentiment is from the Happy Haunting Set which I heat embossed with white embossing powder.

Happy Halloween Cards by Tasha

Happy Friday Ai Friends!
Tasha here sharing two Halloween cards created with the super cute Happy Hauntings Stamp Set from Art Impressions! This set has quickly become my new favorite Halloween stamp set!

I started by stamping these cute critters with black ink and I covered the images with masking paper. I used Distress Oxide Ink to created the background. I wanted it to look like they were trick or treating in the woods on a fall night. I also added the grass border to make the card more interesting and frame the design.

The sentiment was embossed with white on black paper. I love the look of white embossing and it fits perfectly between the trees!

Lastly, I added orange glitter paper before attaching the card to a black card base. This orange glitter color is really pretty and you know I love sparkle!

Since I love this stamp set so much I made a second card to share today. I used the haunted house to make a little not-so-spooky Halloween slimline card!

This design used masking paper again to block off the house before ink blending the background. After I colored the sky, I used a star stencil and white Distress Oxide Ink to add stars. I love having bright stars on cards!

For the ground, I used a grass stencil and black ink to continue with the haunted house vibe. It's fun to think of new ways to use your stencils and try out different color combinations!

Lastly, I stamped a the greeting "Spooky Salutations" and attached several enamel dots. I also added polka dot pattern paper and orange card stock layers before attaching the card to a lime green card base to complete the project.

I hope you enjoyed today's cards and are inspired to create some Halloween projects with the fun Ai Happy Hauntings Stamp Set!

Spooky House Card by Bri Firth

Hello Ai Fans - Bri Firth here! Today, I am sharing another spooky card design featuring the Happy Haunting Set. This project is perfect for Ai's current challenge, "Going Batty". Also, this haunting card is featured on my personal blog today, check it out here

To create the layered card background I used a rectangle die from the Rectangle Double Stitched Dies set to die cut a black stitched rectangle and matted it with solid white cardstock. I stamped the "Happy Haunting" sentiment in the lower left corner of the top layer and heat embossed it with white embossing powder.

I ink blended onto a oval die cut from the Oval Double Stitched Dies set to add a pop of color to the center of the card. I used Salvaged Patina, Blueprint Sketch, Wilted Violet, and Black Soot Distress Oxide inks to create the spooky blend. Next, I stamped the bats in pigment black ink and heat embossed them with clear embossing powder.

The haunted house was colored with my Copic markers. I used the BV20's to color the house in a gray-tinted purple blend. I used my E80's to color the rotted wood and I used Y00 and Y26 to add the lights in the windows. I used foam tape to add the house to the card front. To finish the card, I also added some coordinating sequins.

Magic is in the Air Card by Tasha!

 Happy Friday Ai Fans!

Tasha here sharing a Fall card created with the fun Happy Hauntings Stamp Set!

This set has a variety of images and sentiments, but nothing says Fall like owls! These witchy owls are too cute with their little hats and the bright colors pop against the dark sky background!

The circle frame is from the Bible Journaling Frameworks Set 1 and the frame design works perfectly with the owl images!

The sentiment "Magic is in the Air" was stamped with black ink and I used purple Distress Oxide Ink around the edges. To complete the card, I added glitter card stock and a Halloween pattern paper to the panels; I love all the sparkle!

Thank you for checking out today's project and I hope you are inspired to create a Fall/Halloween card!

Happy Night Time Haunting

Hello Ai Fans! Today I've got a pair of hauntingly cute Halloween cards. These are made with images and sentiments from the Happy Haunting set #4940. These cards are my interpretation for the Go Batty Challenge that just started this past Thursday.

Both cards are set at night. The first one I worked on was the A2 card using the happy little critters that are enjoying their costumes and treats. I colored the characters with Copic markers and then fussy cut them out very close to the stamp border. I inked up a bright yellow piece of cardstock with Distress Oxide different purple and black inks. Before doing so, I used a cut circle from the Ai Circle Double Stitched Die Set for a moon mask. Once inked, I splattered the panel with water and then with a white iridescent spray. After drying, I stamped the tops of two trees in the set around the top of the moon. I added bat images using the included stamp. Some orange inking was done on the yellow moon. Additional white dots were added with a gel pen. The sentiment was heat embossed on velum and sequins were used to hide the glue holding it in place. Finally, I added the critters across the front of the moon. These characters look like they are having the best time on Halloween night!

To begin the second night scene, I used my Silhouette machine to cut a file from Paige Evans to get a whole background of bats. I put black glitter cardstock behind the background so they would show up well. The background was done in light gray cardstock. I sprayed it with both white and green iridescent sprays. While that dried, I colored the owls and fussy cut them out. A large circle die cut was cut from yellow cardstock and the edge was trimmed to be flush with the bat panel. The tops of the trees were again stamped to create the branch background for the owls. The edges of the bat panel were darkened using distress oxide ink. The owls were nestled in the branches and I stamped the bat in the background. The sentiment is heat embossed in an eggplant color. A few sequins finished up this card nicely. I love how one of the owls are staring down at the spider below them.

I hope you enjoyed seeing my take on these night scene cards that are spooky but not scary. Please join us for our Going Batty Challenge. It can be any Halloween crafty project and it's not limited to cards.

Happy Creating!

Happy Haunting | By Jessica Shier

Hello Ai Fans!

This week I'm working on a last few Halloween card ideas. I'm using the Happy Haunting stamp set with some Copics markers.

I used the Art Impressions Banner Double Stitch die to die cut a piece of Neenah 80lb card stock and also a purple plaid pattern paper. I used Gina K amlagam ink to stamp the haunted house on Neenah card stock. Then colored in with Copic Markers, the ones I used are listed below. Before coloring the ground I stamped the trees. For this I used Tombow marker and stamped the front trees with the full ink using a stamp platform. For the trees in the back I stamped off to get a lighter color. I also used a copic marker to color them in slightly and then colored in the ground.

I adhered the banners together and also trimmed a piece of dark green cardstock and layered them all on to a A2 size card base. For the sentiment I used several from the Happy Hauntings stamp set and heat embossed those on two different tones of purple card stock. After trimming those with a paper cutter I attached them to the little haunted house scene.

Copic Markers Used:
BG18, BG15, C1, C3, C5
Y21, E35, E43, YG67

Thank you so much for joining me today! Happy Stamping!

Magic is in the Air! by ReneƩ Matarese

Hello Ai fans!

Today I'm sharing a fun Halloween card with you.

I colored the rickety old haunted house with watercolor pencils.

I wish this little trio lived outside of my house.  My son has been lucky enough to see a barn owl from two lots down fly past his window a few times but I've never seen him.

Don't you just love the sparkle that these fusible glitter sheets add?

I wanted to create something with some dimension to it.  Kind of like a scene and not just a card.  This can be displayed all season long.

Fantasia Pencils: 3, 29, 43, 45, 50, 53
