Halloween Slimline Card by Tasha!

 Happy Friday Friends!

Tasha here sharing a Halloween slimline card inspired by the current "All the Fall" Challenge. My project features the fun 5460-Halloween Slimline Set and I just LOVE these cute little critters!

I started by stamping the main image and leaves with black ink and used the included coordinating dies to cut them out. It can be a challenge at times to create with large stamps, but I think having a little outdoor scene with a bright moon was a great way to highlight the furry friends and their pumpkins.

The sentiment I selected is from the 5037-Halloween Magic Set; another one of my favorite sets. I embossed the greeting on to black paper and think the bright white goes great with moon and sky background.
Lastly, I attached gold glitter paper, deep teal and black card stock, and a layer of pretty leaf print pattern paper. I also added a little Distress Oxide Ink to the moon to complete the card.

Thank you for checking out today's project and I hope you will participate in the "All the Fall" Challenge!

Have a great day!

Holiday Hedgehog Card by Tasha!

 Happy Friday Art Impressions Friends!

Tasha here sharing a new holiday card inspired by the current Tres Chic Challenge. I was inspired by the brown tones and buffalo check prints in the challenge photo and thought this color combination would be perfect for a holiday card.

The sweet little hedgehog image is from the new 5953-Woodland Critters Set. I love animal stamps and this one is adorable with his little scarf and tree. I colored him with markers and used the included die set to cut the stamped image out. For the scarf, I used a white gel pen to add a knit-like detail; love the teal and white colors!

To create the background, I attached several glittery snowflakes and used the same glitter paper for the ground. The sparkle is so pretty and these falling snowflakes are a great size for cards. I also thought mixing up the sizes and having some outside of the frame gave the card more interest.

Lastly, I embossed "Merry Christmas" on to black paper and attached layers of brown, red, and black card stock. I also added a piece of buffalo check pattern paper to bring in the colors/patterns from the challenge inspiration photo. I love how this turned out!

Thank you for checking out today's card and I hope you will join in the challenge!
Have a wonderful day!

Mousey Christmas Greetings Card by Tasha!

 Happy Friday Ai Fans!

Tasha here sharing a new holiday card inspired by the #361 Christmas Came Early Challenge. For my project I'm featuring the cute 5564 - Mousey Christmas Set and the new 5782 - Snowflake Frame Die

To create this card, I started by stamping the happy little mouse and coloring him with Copic Markers. I selected traditional Red & Green colors and added glitter to the fur areas of the coat and hat; the glitter is so pretty! I also used the included coordinating die set to cut the mouse out.

After coloring the mouse, I used the new 5782 - Snowflake Frame Die and cut a frame from gray card stock. To coordinate with the gray, I added a piece of winter-themed pattern paper. I love the way this snowy scene looks!

The greeting "Seasons Greetings" is from the 5566 - Christmas Sentiments Set and fits perfectly on the edge of the frame. I thought embossing on black would allow the sentiment to stand out against the gray and white colors; the white just pops! Embossing is just so cool!

Lastly, I added silver glitter paper, Christmas themed pattern paper, and three sheets of card stock to complete the card. This card was so much fun to make and I think this little mouse is just the cutest stamp to use on holiday projects!

Thank you for checking out my project and I hope you are having a wonderful day!

 Happy Friday Ai Fans!

Tasha here sharing a new card inspired by the Ai Diamonds and Pearls Challenge. For my project, I used the cute 5564 -Mousey Christmas Set to create a fun holiday card. I love hot cocoa, and this would totally be me if I was a mouse!

The adorable mouse was stamped with black hybrid ink and I used Copic Markers for all of the coloring. To go with the challenge theme, I added little rhinestones to the sky and I love the sparkle! I think this stamp is just too cute!

To complete the card, I added holiday pattern paper and stamped "Have a Holly Jolly Christmas" with dark green ink. This mouse would also look great on a gift tag this holiday season!

Thank you so much for stopping over today and I hope you enjoyed this card!
Have a wonderful day!

Tasha here sharing a new holiday card created with the 5564 – Mousey Christmas Set

This little mouse looks so cute in his Santa outfit as he decorates for the Christmas season. I love his hat and happy smile; he is just adorable!

For the background, I added layers of pattern paper and red glitter card stock. The buffalo-check and red script paper looks similar to layered ribbon; I love the farmhouse look!
Lastly, I stamped "Merry and Bright" with black ink and added yellow ink to give a glow around the mouse. These colors look great together and I can't wait to make more holiday projects with the Ai 5564 – Mousey Christmas Set!

Have a Bee-utiful Day Card by Tasha!

 Happy Friday Ai Fans!

Tasha here sharing a bee-themed card created with the new 5561-Birds and Bugs Set and 5566-Christmas Sentiments Set!

The 5561-Birds and Bugs Set includes several little stamps, but I adore the bees! I stamped all three bee images with black hybrid ink and colored them with Copic Markers. I also like that each bee is different!
For the background, I stenciled a sunburst design with two shades of yellow ink and attached a little bee hive. I used markers to color a simple hive and glued a white enamel heart to the center.

Lastly, I added layers of black card stock and a pretty floral paper. I also stamped "A Gift For You" from the 5566-Christmas Sentiments Set to complete the design.

Thank you for visiting the blog today and I hope you are inspired to create a card with the new 5561-Birds and Bugs Set and 5566-Christmas Sentiments Set!

Have a great day!

Smallest & Cutest! by Mercy Sauer

Hi Folks, Mercy here.  This month’s grand finale features the newly released Match Book Series Chapel set 5496.

This is my first time creating with the Matchbook series. I will admit, at first, I simply didn’t know what to think. Would I enjoy the process of creating a tiny, tiny scene? You all know I love “cute” and really, what is cuter than a miniature card with its own matching envelope?

So, I stamped all the included elements, cut them out using the dies, and before assembling, I was hooked. Seriously, I got pretty excited I stopped a few times while creating the card to show my husband and my daughter. They both said the same thing, “oh, wow, that’s great, and so small”.

Did I mentioned I was hooked? I created two cards! I could make a ton of these. It’s really fun. I am looking forward adapting critters and elements from other sets to create interesting, super cute, super different tiny cards.

Even though I haven't gifted a MB tiny card, I can’t way to do so and see the recipient's reaction.

If you are looking for something truly unique, fun and incredibly cute, check out the Match Book series.

My first example features the new Chapel accessory set. It would be great for weddings, baptisms, communions. They would also make for great handmade party favors!

Here's my second card! no one would ever be upset you forgot "something" if you give them this card...no way!

What do you think? I love them!

Well, this was fun! please tag Art Impressions with your creations, I would love to see them.

GOOD NEWS, bad news! by Mercy sauer

Hello crafters, Mercy here! I have Good News and bad news!

Good news first! this week I’m sharing an exclusive Ai set only available at simonsaysstamp.com

What’s the bad news? you ask! It’s a limited set! Once it's sold out, it won't be restocked.

So, let’s get started!

I created 3 cards; I knew the second I looked at the set this would be my first one, it's so sweet!

I envisioned a baby bird and a mamma bird flying towards each other for a little kiss.

Many times when I choose a stamp I love the smaller "extra" elements as much as the larger featured ones. The two birdies are a perfect example. I'm not shy with my stamps! I modify them to fit my needs, inspiration and creativity, as I did in this case.

I used a sliding mechanism for the birds to fly towards each. However, You do You. These two birds would be amazing in any setting or scene.

This card can be used for any occasion and given to anyone holding a special spot in your heart.

For my second card, I wanted a simple background that was playful and would complement the mamma bear comforting the baby bear...so sweet and cute!

I created a full sized see-through shaker window. I love to see the embellishments from the outside and the inside.
A few techniques on this one, it took me two tries, but the results are well worth the time!

Finally, my third card. A simpler technical design with Big punch, warmth and charm.

This is a very versatile set.  Bonnie's iconic style shines through making this set a must have.

Here's a picture of what it looks like...

(stamps and dies included)

Take care
