Happy Birthday Bonnie Krebs!!!!

 Hello AI Fans!!

Today is our Queen Bee Bonnie's Birthday!! I know how much she is loved and cherished by all, so I feel VERY fortunate that it's my day to post. Bonnie, I know I speak for all when I tell you that we wish you the very best Birthday and hope your day is filled with love and laughter with friends and family! Thank you so much for enriching all of our lives and blessing us with your amazing talents! God bless you and we love you!!

The card I'm showing you today is one I made for Bonnie (I hope she's received it by now) and for the current challenge we've got going on right here on the AI blog! I used the fabulous #5042 Christmas Bee Set, but I used some Post It Tape to mask out her stocking cap and tried my best to turn it into a Birthday hat. You can see I'm definitely not an artist! LOL!  I also cut my little bee away from the word merry and the bow so I could use it by itself. This helps extend the uses of your stamps because you can always stamp them together again if you want! I love that there's so many stamps in this set you can use for occasions other than Christmas! I loved the little quote I added on the bottom right side of the card. It was in the paper I used and thought it was so fitting for Bonnie!  I stamped my images onto Cryogen white paper with Memento Tuxedo Black ink, and then colored them with Copic markers which are listed below.

And this is the inside of the card.

Thank you so very much for stopping by today, and please be sure to wish Bonnie a very Happy Birthday today! Until next time - stay crafty!

Christmas in July Cards by Tasha!

 Happy Friday Ai Fans!

Tasha here sharing two Christmas in July themed cards featuring the #5042 - Christmas Bee Set!

My first card has the sweet little bees singing around a Christmas tree. I stamped the tree directly on to the card and layered the bees with foam tape. I also added Distress Oxide Ink around the edges to bring in a honey colored glow to frame the scene. It looks like the star is lighting up the center of the card and I love the bright yellow color!

To complete the card, I added the flying bee to the top of the card and used a white gel pen to add falling snow to the background. I also attached layers of gold, red, and green pattern paper to go with the Christmas theme.

The second card is a smaller design perfect for gift cards or to hang on a gift bag. I stamped the singing bees and colored their winter accessories in holiday colors. Their little hats are just too cute!

To complete this card, I stamped one of the included Bee-themed greetings and added layers of red card stock, silver mirrored paper, and green pattern paper. I also added the honey color around the edge to frame the trio. I love all bee-themed things, and the Christmas Bee set is perfect for this year's holiday cards!

Thank you for checking out today's cards and I hope you are inspired to create a Christmas in July themed card or project!

Have a great day!

It's Christmas in July! O Christmas Bee Tunnel Card by Janet Axtman

Hi everyone and welcome to some fresh Christmas air. It's July and in my book, the perfect time to bring out a little Christmas spirit in the heat of summer.

Today I've made a tunnel card for you. It's a fun fold that builds up a layered and dimensional look. It's a perfect style for scene building. In my tunnel, I've created a bee-utiful bee Christmas tree trimming party! Can you hear the singing? I feel like I can.

I chose images from the Christmas Bee set, #5042. I stamped them on 300 Series Strathmore Bristol cardstock and used Tombow markers and a colorless blender to make these come to life. There are enough images to do several different cards in this set. I used most but not all of the images and only one of the seven sentiments included in it.

I decorated the tree image with red and silver stickles. Other than that, I added no other embellishments. These images stand on their own and I didn't think I needed more to create the happy scene.

I made a video with all the details. You can see it by clicking on the thumbnail below:

Here's a closer look at the tunnel scene.

And here's a little closer look at the card front. I imagine she is THE "Queen Bee." I always thought the Queen Bee would be kind of scary but she is a friendly, happy sort!

Thanks for stopping by today. I hope you might be inspired to look through your Christmas stamps and start creating a few holiday cards of your own. It's a great time to experiment and decide on card designs you want to use in December. There are lots of choices in the Ai store to get you going.

Stay cool!

Happy Creating!

Hi Ai Fans!
Today I am using the adorable "Christmas Bee Set" by Art Impressions. What an adorable set of fun stamps that are very non-traditional, Love it!
I stamped, coloured and fussy cut out my bees. Using the Ai Double Stitched circles, I made a frame for my little singers to sing in. I also added a honeycomb die cut behind them. I took a Lamp Post die cut, cut off the lamp and added some honeycomb inside.
Some Crystal Stickles on the Bees hats and a few enamel dots finish off my card today.
