Merry and Bright Christmas Card by Tasha!

 Happy Friday Ai Fans!

Tasha here, thrilled to share my latest creation in the spirit of the season – a delightful holiday card inspired by the "Making Spirits Bright Challenge." Now that the Holiday Season is in full swing, my crafting hands are busy bringing Christmas cheer to life, and I couldn't be more excited about the charming 5802 - Joyful Snowman Set!

Let's talk about the star of the show – the adorable snowman adorned with holiday lights. Honestly, all the snowman stamps are darling, but this one stole my heart. As I gazed upon it, I thought – what if a mischievous kitty joined the snowy fun? And voila! The 5098 - Cozy Cat Cubbies Set provided the perfect feline companion, nestled cozily next to the snowman, adding an extra layer of cuteness to the card.

Now, onto the greeting! The 5040 - Sleigh Bells Set boasts a whimsical font that worked beautifully with this winter wonderland scene. Opting for a light blue ink not only complements the overall color scheme but also enhances the frosty vibe of the card.

To bring it all together, I incorporated silver glitter paper for a touch of holiday sparkle, deep teal cardstock for contrast, and a delightful piece of check pattern paper from the Ai 5835 - Mini Journal Paper Pack. I must confess – I have a soft spot for snowflakes!

Thank you for taking a peek at today's holiday card! I invite you to join in the "Making Spirits Bright Challenge" and share your own creative expressions!

Welcome Guest Designer Carrie Triner!

 Hello everyone!

Since we've shifted our Watercolor Weekend to Sundays and have 4 designers something rare popped up.  October has a 5th Sunday!

What should we do? No one wants a blank day on the blog.

We reached out to Art Impressions SUPER FAN Carrie Triner and she agreed to make us some cards.

If you're not familiar with her work, you're going to love it!

She created two Christmas cards, one with carolers and one with Santa and his crew.

Let's hear from Carrie herself.

Hello, my name is Carrie Triner. I would say that I am probably one of your biggest fans.

After loosing my mom I had difficulty letting her go and trying to move on.

I remembered my moms love for coloring and decided I would color to keep her memory alive.

It has been a journey that has allowed me to heal, while keeping her memory alive. I color nightly and call it my nighttime wind down. Up until til this year I colored every single night. Recently I’ve allowed myself a little grace and by not having to color every single night.

The first card  I’ve created comes from a memory of my children being young and

Anxiously  awaiting  the arrival of Santa and hoping to get a glimpse of him. One of my daughters swears she say him out from and climbing of chimney. For this card I used Sleigh Bells.

Cardmaking two takes me back to the first Christmas of my marriage and new home. Neighbors all got together to welcome us to the neighborhood by ringing our door and caroling in front of our home. It’s a memory I’ll always cherish. For this card I used Christmas Wonder.

I’ve been a huge fan of Art Impressions stamps for over 9 years. I believe my first stamps were 29 again and Hog wild.

As far as my favorite series, I absolutely loved them all. To pick one collection would be leaving out all the other ones I love. Your company makes it tough to choose a favorite. I’d have to say all of them. Recently I’ve been researching all your collections and stamps and got to see and know all the many collections you have made over the years.

So back to trying to choose a favorite, I’d say between Golden Oldies and Girlfriends.

Her first card uses 4936 – Christmas Wonder Set.

She created a gorgeous "window" card so that you can see through to the inside.

Her coloring is always so fabulous.  (I've followed her for a long time)

She usually creates fun Reels on her Instagram account. If you're looking for ways to index all of your Ai stamps, she's spent the last 5 weeks organizing hers and has shared on IG.

Her second card uses 5040 – Sleigh Bells Set.

It's also a window card but this one is different.
Don't the little elves look so happy and proud as Santa is
setting out for his midnight ride with all of the toys that they've made?

Her deep, rich colors are wonderful.  Creating such depth is something that alludes so many artists.

Don't you love how she added the gold cord as reins?

We'll see you soon Santa and hopefully we'll be seeing lots more from Carrie very soon too.

Merry Elves by Janet

It's July, but I'm already getting into the Christmas spirit! I love making Christmas cards, and I'm excited to share this one with you.

I used the 5040-Sleigh Bells Set to create this card. The stamps are perfect for creating festive and heartwarming cards, and the reindeer and elves are so cute!

To begin, I cut four round circles out of the card front. Before doing that I attached a 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" piece of cardstock from the 5712-Christmas Journal Paper Pack on the front. I colored the images and cut out the reindeer image. Then I used the 5064-Circle Double Stitched Dies to cut out the other images with a larger circle. I positioned them behind the window and glued them in place. I think it's super fun how the elves peak out from behind the windows!

To finish this card, I added white and red glitter enamel dots, a strip of fancy pearl and jewel bling to simulate snow, and a sentiment from the set. I thought it needed just a little bit more so I applied some Copic red marker to a tan button and some silver gilding wax to the edges of it. This makes it look a little more rustic. Then I made a small bow out of twine and attached it to the button which was then attached to the card front. It did the trick! Last I applied red, silver, and purple Stickles to the tree. I couldn't resist making one of these guys into Rudolph so I added red Stickles to the lead reindeer's nose.

I hope you like this card! Thanks so much for stopping by today. I hope you'll stop by the store soon for all your card making needs.

Merry Christmas in July everyone!

It's Holiday Party Time! Card by Tasha!

 Happy Friday Ai Fans!

Tasha here sharing a festive holiday card inspired by the #341 - That's a Wrap! Challenge! For my card, I used the fun SC0799 - Ugly Sweater Clear Set and the 5040 - Sleigh Bells Set; I love this sweater!

I started by stamping the character with black ink and used a variety of colors for the sweater. To go with the "That's a Wrap" theme, I stamped the little gift image from the 5040 - Sleigh Bells Set. The gift package was the perfect size and totally goes with the character!

For the greeting, I stamped "Don we now our Ugly Sweaters!" with the same black ink. This stamp set included several sentiments, but this one is perfect to send to anyone this holiday season. I also like the cool script handwriting!

Lastly, I blended gold ink around the edges to give a soft glow and stamped holiday lights to the top of the card. I also attached layers of green card stock and Christmas pattern paper to complete the card.

I hope you enjoyed today's card and will join in the #341 - That's a Wrap! Challenge!

Have a wonderful day!
