Grateful Hearts Card by Jil Lebel

 

Hello Ai fans!

I used the Grateful Hearts stamp set to make a Thanksgiving card.  I just love those little hamsters dressed like pilgrims!

The image was stamped onto Canson XL watercolor paper with Versafine Clare Nocturne ink and watercolored with Daniel Smith watercolor paint.  It was then cut out with the Circle Double stitched die.  The edges were aged with Brushed Corduroy Distress ink.

The background of the card is a piece of shattered Core'dinations paper that was sanded at the edges.  It was attached to a white A2 card.  Two more pieces of Core'dinations paper were cut with the Hexagon Double Stitched Dies and attached to the card front. The circle with the image was attached over the hexagons with foam tape.  The greeting was stamped onto a small rectangle of Canson XL paper with Versafine Clair Nocturne ink. It was also aged with Brushed Corduroy Distress ink.

Thanksgiving Cards

Hi AI fans! This week I played with the Grateful Hearts stamp set. I made two cards with the Grateful Hearts stamp set. For both cards I stamped the images onto smooth white card stock and colored them in with alcohol markers. 

Spectrum Noir Markers: IG7, IG9, EB3, EB4, DR1, EB05, EB2

After I colored these cut little animals in I die cut them out with a double stitched oval die. I used the "Thanksgiving starts with grateful hearts" sentiment. I added the oval to two layers of pattern paper. I then adhered the whole panel to a 5 1/2" X 4 1/4" card base. 

Spectrum Noir Markers: OR05, OR1, OR2, OR3, PL1, PL2, PL3, PL4, PL5, MB05, YG05 

For the second card I fussy cut part of the image out and used a straight edge cutter for the other side. I layered the image onto three different pieces of pattern paper. For  this card I used the sentiment "In all things give thanks" I then adhered the whole panel to a 5 1/2" X 4 1/4" card base.

I love making holiday cards with less than traditional colors.  For some reason I immediately thought "yellow and polka dots" when I picked this set up this time.

I also used two of the Art Impressions Stitched Dies sets...

Grateful Hearts by Carol Hintermeier

Hello Ai Friends!

I have a sweet Thanksgiving card today featuring the Grateful Hearts set.  For this card, I thought I'd change up the typical autumn color scheme and leave out any orange pumpkins.  I love the white pumpkins that I see in stores, so those were the inspiration for the ones on my card.

I stamped the images in Copic safe ink and colored them with the markers listed below.  I fussy cut them and set them aside to build the scene.    Here are the steps for the rest of the card:

• I used a cloud stencil to ink Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide ink with a blending brush for the clouds.
• I inked a scrap piece of paper with Twisted Citron and Mowed Lawn Distress Oxides.  Then I die cut that with a grass border die.
• I used a heart die to cut the opening in the center of a 5" square piece of blue paper.  I added stitching lines with a white gel pen and then I put foam tape on the back.
• I positioned the stenciled clouds and grass die cut onto a 5-½" square top-folding card base.  I made sure these were positioned correctly before glueing them down.
• I then adhered the blue piece on top.

Next I added some thin foam tape to the back of the mice.  I positioned the pumpkins and adhered with glue.  I stamped the sentiment onto a banner die and added it to my card. To finish it off, I added a few clear hearts here and there.

Happy Thanksgiving!! I hope everyone has a wonderful and safe holiday!! My card features the new Grateful Hearts stamp set! 

I stamped the cornucopia on white card stock, then I used stitched rectangle dies to cut it and some pattern paper. This was made with Lawn Fawn stitched dies, but Art Impressions has since made their own double stitched dies, you can check them out here!

Next, I colored the image with my Spectrum Noir ColourBlend Pencils. I don't have the list of colors any more, but I used like almost every pencil! Or at least it seamed like it!! Lol!!

I stamped the sentiment Bountiful Blessings on a strip of card stock and then notched one end. Then I added the colored image to the light yellow pattern paper and then to some Kraft card stock and finally a card base. Last I added a couple wood dots.

Hello!  It's a few days before Thanksgiving and this Art Impressions Grateful Hearts Set is perfect for my card today!

It's so nice to have this type of card to send to friends and loved ones to show how much you are thankful for them.   This little Pilgrim mice couple is just the sweetest!!

I started out by stamping the mice and then stamping a mask for them.  After I had the mask on the mice, I stamped the pumpkins and some masks for them.  Then I used some ink blending brushes to ink the background.  These brushes are good to get a lighter inking.

   

However, this A2 card size wasn't going to work after all.   A couple of blunders had me pulling out my Art Impressions Circled Double Stitched dies to cut this out.  (I accidentally drew the ground line through the pumpkin on the far left as it didn't have a mask.  Then I set my card down into a large drop of water that totally soaked the upper right corner!!!)  Just goes to show you, most times you can overcome the mistakes and oopses!

I stamped this greeting from the set in Versamark ink.  I added some copper embossing powder and heat set it.  I love the shine of this!

Thankful Cards By Crystal Schneider

I'm back again with cards made from the same Grateful Hearts set 5039 as I played with last week. this week I made two cards using the cornucopia image. 

First my first image I colored it in with watercolor markers. I used the largest die from the Rectangle Double Stitched dies I scored a piece of cardstock down the middle and lined the die up  little bit over the score line so it would only cut along three sides and I would have a fold along the top. 

I fussy cut the bottom of the image out but left the cardstock attached to the top of the image. 

I adhered a strip of pattern paper to the top of the card base. I adhered the colored image to the card base with fun foam to add a little dimension. Added a few nuvo drops in black and the card was done.

My second card I Colored in with alcohol markers and fussy cut it out. 

This card was kept very simple I just used kraft pattern cardstock die cut out and inked the edges.
