I Love Rock & Roll! by Reneé Matarese

Hello Ai fans!

What do you make when you have a request for a birthday card for a 14 year old who loves 80's music? A rock & roll shaker card of course, complete with boom box!

I used the super fun 5808 – 5pk Snow Globe Shaker Dome.
Inside the dome, I used the radio from 4999 Perfect Duet Set (Retired)

On the inside of her card I used 5866 – Mini Birthday Sentiment Set
and 5562 – Journal Letter Die Set to spell out I LOVE ROCK AND ROLL.
Think Joan Jett!

The border die on the front and on the inside is from
5543 – Journal Template Die Set

Happy Easter! Happy Spring! by Reneé Matarese

 Hello Ai fans!

Today I'm sharing an Easter shaker card.

The 5274 Easter Bunnies Set is just so cute and has many main images to choose from as well as lots of sentiments to compliment the images.

I've already made a ton of shaker cards using the snowglobe domes from Art Impressions and I see many more in my future!

Maybe I'm just a big kid at heart because I kept shaking and shaking this. I think anyone would appreciate receiving this card.

Warmest Wishes from Reneé Matarese

 Hello Ai fans!

I'm starting out by sharing a winter card today.
Christmas may be over but we still have LOTS of winter ahead where I live and I know some people like to create Christmas cards all year round. It's never too early to start adding to your Christmas stash for December 2025!

My first card used

All of the colors that I used are at the end of my InLinkz at the bottom of the page.

My next project was something put together to do with one of the 5th grade classes that I work with.
I thought a little snowglobe ornament would be fun for them. They tend to be a very "lively" class but they really focused on this and did a great job. One girl added a deer silhouette with hoof prints, several kids added smoke and some made the chimney brick or added Aurora Borealis to the background. They were so creative.

I used colored pencils for my sample since I knew that's what they'd be coloring with.

My third project is my second attempt at making a Matchbook resembling the 5950 - Christmas Town MBE which quickly sold out. Don't despair. You can create something similar using current Art Impressions products. I think it might have been Caly Person who said she initially mistook the easel die that holds the MB up, for a snowbank. I decided to use it that way with the snowman.

You can see my MB with the official Christmas Village set HERE.
You can find my other "knock off" version HERE.

My final project is two bookmarks.
I have two coworkers who are avid readers. I had a bunch of scraps laying around from other projects and decided to whip these up. They would have come together really quickly except that I decided to add text which took time to cut and glue.

I hope your 2025 is off to a crafty start!

See you next Tuesday with my Craft Time is Golden card.

Reneé's Top 10 of 2024

2024 is quickly coming to a close and I have my Top 10 favorite projects for the year.

It's never easy to narrow the list down because all of the Art Impressions stamps and dies are so wonderful! This is what I finally settled on in no particular order. I hope you enjoyed them.

Here's hoping 2025 brings you everything you're hoping for!
I can't wait to begin a new year with Ai and I can't wait to see what you create.

I'm retired, go around! by Reneé Matarese

Hello Ai fans!
The current challenge at Art Impressions is Masculine Masterpieces.

I needed a retirement card for a female coworker which is how this card began. Once I made hers I thought that it would be really nice for a man as well. The colors worked well for men or women so I created this version for the challenge.

This guy is READY for retirement!
5406 – Mr. Set

I tried to convince him not to pack his black socks but he insisted.
At least he's not wearing them with sandals.

I hope you guys aren't getting sick of my shaker dome cards. I just can't get enough of them! I love interactive cards and these little shakers are so fun and easy to use.
5808 – 5pk Snow Globe Shaker Dome

The fun "cruise ready" lady and the accessories are from 4932 – Pack Your Bags Set.

The small happy retirement sentiment is from 5187 – Happy Trails Set.

I used the 5726 – Nested Circle Dies to cut the paper that went behind the cruise ship in the dome.

The fun sentiment on the front is from 5115 – Birthday Laugh Lines.

I will NEVER get sick of these domes and I have so many more ideas swirling in my head.
Stay tuned...

Deer Shaker Card for Under the Dome Challenge by Reneé Matarese

Hello Ai fans!

Welcome to the Under the Dome Challenge at Art Impressions.
I had so much fun making this shaker dome card. It's got a masculine feel, but I as a woman, would also LOVE to receive a card like this.

I used a bunch of Art Impressions products and you can find them all linked below.

I live in the country and seeing deer is a daily occurrence for us. I love watching them stroll through our yard. It's hunting season and we always breath a sigh of relief when we see our regulars show up the next day.

Winter Wishes! Card by Tasha!

 Happy Friday Art Impressions friends!

Tasha here sharing a card inspired by the current "Under the Dome" Challenge. This challenge is all about shaker cards and I thought is was a great time to make a Christmas shaker card.

My project features one of the penguins from the new 5929-Christmas Train Set. This set has several cute penguin stamps to choose from and this little guy was the perfect size to fit inside the plastic dome. I also created a little snowy background before adding the winter themed sequins; these colors are so pretty!

After my shaker was completed, I added a sparkly silver glitter layer, a scalloped red frame, and layers of black card stock, silver glitter paper, and a candy cane pattern paper. I also attached a snowflake pattern paper from the 5963-Winter Woodland Paper Pack to coordinate with the scene.

Lastly, I added a simple "Winter Wonderland" greeting before adhering the card to a white card base.

Thank you for checking out today's card and I hope you will join in this fun challenge!
