My Mushroom Cubbie was PUBLISHED!! by ReneƩ Matarese

 Guess what??

I had my Mushroom Cubbie card published!!

I'm in the current issue of Creative Scrapbooker Magazine.

I entered it into the Valentine category because, how perfect is that sentiment for your Valentine...
There's Gnome-one like you! Besides using the 5728 – Mushroom Cubbies I used one of the hearts from 5721 – Nested Heart Dies.

I added little accents with the Dr. Ph Martin's Bleed Proof White paint.  I like that it's a little non-traditional in its colors and theme.  There's a heart and embossed hearts but it's not predominately hearts.  Not that there's anything wrong with that!!  lol!!  I just like things to be a little non-traditional.

There's a digital copy of the magazine online or you can purchase a paper copy in most craft stores. It's a wonderful magazine.  You can also subscribe.

You're My Favorite Card by Tasha!

Good morning Ai Fans!
Tasha here sharing a new card created with the AICS27-Love Birds Set! This stamp set is great for Valentine's Day, anniversary cards, or to send to someone special anytime of the year!

The cute couple was stamped with black ink and colored with Copic Markers. I used a white gel pen to add little accents to their clothing and I love the polka-dot dress! I also added Glossy Accents to the floating hearts for extra shine!

After coloring the background, I used the same black ink to stamp the greeting. This sentiment is so special and works perfectly with this sweet pair!

Lastly, I added layers of teal glitter paper, heart pattern paper, and a coordinating piece of red cardstock before attaching it to a white card base.

Thank you so much for checking out today's project and I hope you have a wonderful day!

You're Paw-some! by Carol Hintermeier

Happy Monday Ai fans!  I have one last card (for a little while-LOL!) using the Art Impressions' Lovable Animals set.  This cute little fox is perfect for a birthday card, or switch up the colors, and it would be just right for Valentine's Day!

I stamped the fox and other images with my MISTI in Copic safe ink and colored them with the Copic markers listed below.  I started with an A2 top-folding card base and added blue, black, and patterned paper layers with liquid adhesive.  I cut two thin strips of the blue card stock and adhered them on each side of the black striped paper.

Then I used the included dies to cut out the images.  I love how the die cuts the slits for the fox to hold a treat, a cupcake in this case.  I popped up the fox and second cupcake with foam squares.

Stamp the sentiment with black ink and die cut it with a Flag Double Stitched die.  I then die cut the end again to shorten the overall length.  Matt this on a blue layer then pop it up with foam squares.  For a bit of sparkle and shine I added some clear sparkle with a glitter pen to the cupcake icing and Diamond Glaze to the cupcake sprinkles.

Thank you so much for stopping by!  I hope you've enjoyed seeing these cards using each cute animal from the Lovable Animals set.  Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a fun, crafty week!

Lovable Animals Trio of Cards by Jil Lebel

Hello Ai fans!

I really enjoyed working with the Lovable Animal Set so I had to keep making cards.  I actually made a trio of Valentine's Day cards. I can see myself using these cute animals for many other occasions.
I started by stamping the images onto Spectrum Noir Ultra Smooth paper with Gina K Designs Black Amalgam Ink and colored them with my Copic markers.  The colors used are listed at the end of this post. I cut the animals with the matching dies.
The cards are all put together with similar materials.  The patterned papers are from Authentique Romance 6 x 6 collection and the Martha Stewart Woodland Valentine Matt stack. I used the heart dies from the set to cut large and small hearts for the cards.  Each of the cards are accented with White Blizzard Nuvo Glitter Drops.
Copic Colors Used:
Elephant - C00, C1, C3, C5, R81, R83, R85
Cat - C00, C1, C3, C5

Owl Always Love You by Carol Hintermeier

Happy Monday Ai friends!  Today I have another card using Art Impressions new Lovable Animals set.  If you missed the first two I made, check out the blog post here.

This card features the cute little owl, which is one of the four cute critters in the set.  I love how the included dies cut slits for the critters to hold various objects!

After I stamped and Copic colored the owl and flower, I used the coordinating dies to cut them out.  The Copic colors I used are listed at the end of this post.  Next I used the heart die that's also in the set to cut an opening in some red card stock.  I used a white gel pen to add some stitching around the edge of the heart. I added foam tape to the back of the red layer and wrapped some bakers twine around the top before adhering it to the white layer.

I adhered the flower in his wings, added some foam squares to the back of the owl and centered it in the heart opening.  I stamped the sentiment in black ink and die cut it with a Tag Stitched die.  I used more baker's twine to tie it on.

Stay tuned for next week when I'll have the fourth critter in the set on a sweet card.  Thank you so much for stopping by!  Stay crafty!

TeePee Valentine Card by Jil Lebel

Hello Ai fans!

I'm always looking for new ways to fold my cards.  The TeePee card is one that I did years ago and I've been thinking of doing one for a while.  They look complicated but are really easy to make.  I used the mouse and beaver from the Valentine Critter Set.
I started by stamping the images onto Spectrum Noir Ultra Smooth paper with Gina K Designs Black Amalgam Ink and colored them with my Copic markers.  The colors used are listed at the end of this post. Once the coloring was complete, I fussy cut out the images with my detail scissors.
I cut three five inch squares from pink card stock and scored them in half on the diagonal. They will form the card base.  I cut two 4 3/4" squares from the Authentique Romance paper and cut them in half on the diagonal. I then distressed the edges and added Worn Lipstick Distress Oxide ink.  I looked up a You tube video on how to assemble the card.  Its easy, but I'm not sure how to describe it. Once the card was assembled, I attached the patterned paper and attached a colored images to two of the sides.  I left one side blank to write my message. I cut the greetings out using the Circle Double Stitched Dies and the Banner Double Stitched Dies. I made two cards and added flat back gems to one of them.
Copic Colors Used:
Mouse - C1, C3, C5
Beaver - W1, W4, E31, E33, E37, E39, E08, C00, C1
Balloon/Heart - R81, R83, R85

Thanks for stopping by and Have a Great Day!

Valentine Wishes by Carol Hintermeier

Happy Monday Ai fans!  Today I have a fun Valentine's card using the Holiday Mansion set and the HM Valentine set.  These are so fun and easy to create.  Love is in the air and all around this house!

As usual, I stamped the images from both set in Copic safe ink and colored with the markers listed below.  For the house, I used a brick stencil, a tiny ink blending brush and Worn Lipstick Distress Ink.  I just used pieces of Post-it Tape to mask off the areas I didn't want stenciled.  Next, I fussy cut the house out.  I used the coordinating dies to cut out the other images.

For the background of the card, first I used a cloud stencil, an ink blending brush and Spun Sugar Distress Ink.  Then, keeping the cloud stencil in place, I placed a heart stencil over it and inked some Worn Lipstick Distress ink over that.  I repeated those steps for each cloud layer.  I used a grass stencil and Mowed Lawn Distress ink at the bottom.  I glued this layer to a top-folding A2 card base.

I adhered the bear, flower pot, sign, and weather vane to the house.  Then I added foam tape strips to the back of the house and applied a scrap piece of white card stock so that the clouds won't show through the house openings.  Next, adhere the piece to the background.  I arranged the other pieces and attached them with either liquid glue or foam squares.

I stamped the sentiment onto red card stock with Versamark ink, added white embossing powder and heat set it.  I used a Flag Double Stitched die to cut it out.  To make the flag die fit the sentiment better, I did some partial die cutting as shown in this next photo.  I popped it up onto the card with foam squares.

For the finishing touches (because I just think Valentine cards can be all about the sparkle and shine) I added sparkle with a clear glitter pen and some shine with Diamond Glaze.  Before adding the Glaze, I used a white gel pen to add accents on the hearts.

Thank you so much for stopping by!  Have a wonderful, crafty week!
