Birds of a Feather! Card by Tasha

 Happy Friday Art Impressions friends! 

Tasha here sharing a card inspired by the current Floral Frenzy Challenge. Art Impressions has so many beautiful floral sets, and I had fun combining two new sets to create this colorful design.

I started with one of my favorite dies, the 6158-Story Tile Template Die, and selected flowers that would fit perfectly into each tile. The floral images I used are from the 6218-BJ Long Stem Set and the 6220-Sing to the Lord Set. Both sets include so many pretty flower stamps, and they work beautifully together!

Instead of filling every tile with flowers, I added two little birds from the 6216-Mercy Set. These sweet birds were the perfect addition and helped bring the design together. To finish the card, I stamped a bird-themed greeting from the 5980-Song Birds and Feeders Set to coordinate with the stamped images.

I love how the mix of flowers and little birds created a cheerful card full of color and springtime inspiration. Thanks for stopping by, and I hope you are inspired to create something beautiful for the Floral Frenzy Challenge!

CASE That Card Winter Birthday by Reneé Matarese

Today I'm sharing my card for the CASE That Card challenge here on the Art Impressions Challenge Blog. I've chosen to imitate a card from Penny Black.

I fell in love with this card the second I saw it and I knew that I wanted to try something like it. Art Impressions to the rescue! I will link all of the Ai products I used at the bottom of the page.

This was my Mother-in-law's late January birthday card. She used to live in the north like me but hasn't been able to get back here for several years. Last time she was here she loved watching the birds at our feeders. I know she doesn't miss the cold but she misses seeing the pretty snow.

In addition to the Tombow markers listed below I also used the following colors from Marvy.

I'm starting out by sharing a winter card today.
Christmas may be over but we still have LOTS of winter ahead where I live and I know some people like to create Christmas cards all year round. It's never too early to start adding to your Christmas stash for December 2025!

My next project was something put together to do with one of the 5th grade classes that I work with.

I thought a little snowglobe ornament would be fun for them. They tend to be a very "lively" class but they really focused on this and did a great job. One girl added a deer silhouette with hoof prints, several kids added smoke and some made the chimney brick or added Aurora Borealis to the background. They were so creative.

I used colored pencils for my sample since I knew that's what they'd be coloring with.

My third project is my second attempt at making a Matchbook resembling the 5950 - Christmas Town MBE which quickly sold out. Don't despair. You can create something similar using current Art Impressions products. I think it might have been Caly Person who said she initially mistook the easel die that holds the MB up, for a snowbank. I decided to use it that way with the snowman.

My final project is two bookmarks.

I have two coworkers who are avid readers. I had a bunch of scraps laying around from other projects and decided to whip these up. They would have come together really quickly except that I decided to add text which took time to cut and glue.

Thinking of You Card by Tasha!

Tasha here sharing a new card inspired by the current "Birds of a Feather" Challenge. My card features the swans from the new KH5820-My Favorite Birds Set. This set includes several different bird stamps, but I love swans and could not wait to use it on a project.

I started by stamping the swan couple on to white card stock and used masking paper to cover the images before creating the background. To make sure I had a crisp line, I used purple tape across the card so I wouldn't get any ink on the bottom. 

For the water, I used two shades of blue Distress Oxide Ink and a white gel pen to add a water-like detail around the birds; I love gel pens! After the color for the water was done, I used two shades of ink to make a colorful sky. The glow around the swans is so pretty!

Lastly, I stamped the "Thinking of You" greeting from the 5797 - Little Things Sentiment Set and added some white splatter to the sky. I also attached layers of black paper, gold glitter paper, heart pattern paper, and a pink enamel heart to complete the card.

On the Sparrow Set by Reneé Matarese

Hello Ai fans!

Today I'm sharing a card made with 5130 – On The Sparrow Set, one of the new Bible Journaling sets from Art Impressions.

I have a friend who taught me all about birds.

Her mother passed and her dad is without his wife for the first time in over 60 yrs. She recently took the front off of a card I made for her and glued it to a plain white card. He told her it was the prettiest card he'd ever seen. She asked me to make some more bird cards that she could send to him.

Birds are something Sandy and her father have bonded over and she passed on that love to me buying me feeders, food and magazine subscriptions to Birds and Blooms.  She opened my eyes to a beautiful world that was right outside my own window.

This beautiful set includes several images and sentiments.

Perfect for so many occasions.

Birdhouse Singing by Niccole Kulig

Hello Ai Fans!

I am sharing another card made with the new HM Garden set from Art Impressions. I decided to do a peek-a-boo card.  I am not sure that is the correct name, but that is what I am calling it HAHA.

It really was an easy card to make.  I had fun with it.  I started with my images first.  I dies cut them, added them to my template, stamped them, and colored them.  Here are the pictures of the order I did it in.

After I finished all of that.  I cut the middle section of my craft card stock out to make the "window". I added a black strip of paper to each edge to give the card a little definition.  Want to my secret to even skinny strips????? I buy quilling paper.  It is super cheap and comes in a ton of colors. Saves me a ton of time trying to cut my paper into skinny strips.

From here I glues my birdhouses on the bottom piece, and ONLY the bottom piece. I then stamped my sentiment between the last two birdhouses.  Once the bottom of the bird houses are fully glued down place your bottom of the craft paper along the bottom of the card so your front piece and back piece line up. This will show you how much of the tops of the birdhouse needs to be glued to the top piece of craft paper. Glue them to the top piece. 

To finish off glue your birds to the front of the card.  I saved one of the birds to add to the inside of the card to tie them together.  I also cut four extra birdhouses and colored the back sided to glue to the exposed back sides of the birdhouses.  It finishes off nicely.
