Pop up arch card Retired and Rehydrated by Sharon Caudle

 Hello AI Fans!

So I have almost reached my one year retirement and I will just say that I do love a good cocktail! HAHA  So I had a blast making this card. It's a dimensional card that lays flat so it's easy to put in the mail. To start with, I stamped #6075 Cruisin' Carol onto a Copic friendly cardstock. After coloring her, I cut her out with the included die. A few daisies from #5925 Honey Bee Set framed her nicely with a strip of grass and a few clouds. The sentiment from #6077 Loungin' Linda fit perfectly on the banner from #5809 Decorative Journal Page 2. It's actually my favorite banner die. The printed papers are from #6033 Inspirational Easter PP. The margarita glasses are just dies I had in my stash, but I thought they went perfectly with the card.

To create this card, you just want to create as many different size layers of your arches (or any shape) and then attach them with an open ended box like you can see in the picture below. You just want to make sure they aren't wider than the panel you're attaching to the front of it. So with these arches, I cut one panel that measured 3 1/4" x 3 1/4".  The second piece was cut to 3 1/4" x 2 1/2. Both pieces were scored at 3/4", 1 1/2", 2 1/4", and 3". fold into a long box by adding adhesive to the 1/4" flap.

This shows how it folds flat to fit into an envelope.

So that's it for me today. Thanks so much for stopping by for a visit today and until next time - stay crafty!

Shake Your Tail Feathers by Sharon Caudle

 Hello AI Fans!

So hopefully you've seen that Art Impressions started a new challenge last Thursday "Wild About You"! Ok...so I'm going to be honest here...I actually googled to see if a bird was considered an "animal" LOL!! And yay, it is! I wanted to create a card to show you that the paper packs that Art Impressions created for the new AI People (Gardener Gail, Pickle Ball Patty, Birdie Betty, Cruisin' Carol, and Loungin' Linda) can be used for so much more!!! It made this card soooo easy and quick to create! I started by grabbing #5399 Gull Friends Set and 6098 Cruise PP. I stamped the Gulls onto a Copic friendly paper using Memento Tuxedo Black ink. The markers I used to color it are listed below. Luckily, the Gull Friends Set comes with coordinating dies, so it was a snap to cut out the sea gulls. From there, I simply added some mounting tape to the back of it and popped it up onto the sheet of paper I had chosen for it. Add a quick sentiment and voila! I just LOVE the sentiment!!

I sure hope this inspires you to look at these paper packs a little differently! Thanks so much for stopping by for a visit today, and until next time - stay crafty!!

Vacation Vibes by Sharon Caudle

 Hello AI Fans!

I know I probably sound like a broken record, but oh my gosh...I can't believe August is more than half way through! To me it feels like summer has just begun but the kids are already back in school! Wow! My card I'm showing you today fits right in with the current challenge "Sports and Leisure". I'm featuring #6075 Cruisin' Carol.  I stamped her with Memento Tuxedo black ink onto a Copic friendly cardstock and then colored her with the markers listed below. Do you love staycations as much as I do? Carol is definitely on a staycation in her own backyard in this card! That's me...give me a cocktail and my awesome patio, and I'm in heaven just relaxing in my chair! This was so easy to make! I just inked a cloudy summer sky using a stencil and then added a strip of die cut grass. Unfortunately, my fence kind of blends into the sky, I should have used a different color of cardstock instead of white.

So that's it for me today! Thanks so much for stopping by for a visit and until next time - stay crafty!!

Tea Time for Mom by Sharon Caudle

 Hello Ai Fans!!

I truly hope that all Mom's and Mom figures out there had a wonderful day yesterday and was able to celebrate your day with family and friends! I wanted to make a card using the new 6024 Tea Time Set. I stamped the teacup onto a Copic friendly paper using Memento Tuxedo black ink and then created a mask for it so I could stamp the flowers. I knew the flower bouquet stamp wasn't going to fill the top of the teacup, so I stamped it once above the teacup, and then stamped it two more times on a separate piece of cardstock. After coloring them all up, I played around with the additional two bunches of flowers to figure out how I wanted to place them to get the look I wanted, and then got busy fussy cutting the pieces that I decided on. There are two separate pieces that are actually popped up from the flat image of the teacup and flower bouquet. I'm a dimensional girl! LOL! I then stamped the sentiment on one banner, but cut an additional four banners with the same die.  I just glued them together and it comes out like home made thick chipboard. It makes the sentiment so sturdy, adds lots of dimension, and I didn't have to pop it up!  I just love the awesome stitch detailing around that banner die!

So that's it for me today! Thanks so much for stopping by for a visit and until next time - stay crafty!!

Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas by Sharon Caudle

 Hello AI Fans!

Hope you're enjoyed your weekend and are having a wonderful start to the week! The new challenge going on right now is Under the Dome Challenge #391. So I decided to use #5791 and create an actual snow globe card. But instead of creating a scene using the awesome images in this stamp/die set, I went outside the box and actually used a Circlet Mini Tryfold set #5025 Christmas Circlet Mini Tryfold. They are the PERFECT size to fit under the AI Snow Globe domes!! I just die cut a few of the snowflakes that comes with the Snow Globe set. It was so easy! So if you have a lot of the Circlets, here's yet another wonderful way you can use them! I also used some of the beautiful new Christmas papers from #5962 Classic Christmas paper pad. I really love these papers!!

So that's it for me today. Thanks so much for stopping by for a visit and until next time - stay crafty!

School Days Card by Tasha!

 Happy Friday Ai Friends!

Tasha here sharing a card featuring the new Exclusive 5877 - Schoolhouse Stamp and 5890 - Village Accessories Set.

(The Exclusive 5877 - Schoolhouse Stamp is an Art Impressions Freebie with a $30 purchase.)

I have been enjoying creating little scenes lately with these mini house stamps, and this schoolhouse is perfect for this time of year. This card would be great to gift a special teacher or a recent graduate. I have a few graduation parties this year and may use this schoolhouse image on cards and gift card holders.

After I finished coloring, I added layers of black card stock and cut a decorate blue frame using the 5809 - Decorative Journal Page Set 2. To add a little sparkle, I glued a strip of silver glitter paper behind the cut bottom frame. I love sparkle!

Lastly, I stamped "Have a Blessed Day" from the 5512 - Front Porch Door Set. I also attached layers of olive green and black paper and a piece of pretty Art Impressions pattern to complete the project.

I hope you enjoyed today's inspiration card and are having a wonderful day.

Little Hello Card by Tasha!

 Happy Friday Ai Friends!

Tasha here sharing a Spring pop-up card featuring the new 5870 - Peeking Bunny Set. This set has quickly become a favorite and I love how the bunny image can pop up in the little flower pot.

The bunny and tulips were all cut with the included coordinating dies and colored with markers. I also added some glitter to the tulips for extra sparkle; they look so pretty!

To allow the bunny to pop up or be removed from the flower pot, I used foam tape on the tulips and a thin layer along the Botton of the pot. I also made sure not the add foam to the center of the pot so the bunny would fit.

The greeting used "Sending a little hello" is from the 5797 - Little Things Sentiment Set and the banner is from the 5809 - Decorative Journal Page Set 2. I like the stitched border on the banner and the tiny greetings fits perfectly!

Lastly, I added frames from the 5768 - Decorative Journal Page Set 1 and layers of pretty paper. I wanted to continue with the Springtime theme, so I used pastel shades and a layer of Art Impressions floral pattern paper. This paper is beautiful and brings in so much color; I love it!

I hope you enjoyed today's project and are having a great day!

Friends Forever with the new Gardening Girlfriends by Sharon Caudle

 Hello AI Fans!

Hope you're having an excellent start to the week and are enjoying some spring weather! It's been pretty chilly here in Reno, but spring is definitely in the air! The trees are finally starting to bud and the grass is starting to turn green again!! Today I have a card that features one of the newly released sets from Art Impressions #5798 Gardening Girlfriends. I am soooo happy that we've got new Girlfriends! And for those of you that love to watercolor, you're going to be madly in love! Bonnie made these Girlfriend images with empty pots that are just made for watercoloring! And if you don't watercolor, there are lots of sets with flowers that will be perfect to add to this set! I would usually choose the latter because I use Copics for my coloring. But this time, I actually colored the image with my Copics, but then I created a mask for the main image and then pulled out one of my watercolor sets and Tombows to create the flowers in the pots. *gasp* HAHA  Don't fall over from shock! I didn't use any water as that would not go well with the cryogen white paper I use with my Copic markers. But I think it turned out ok. Let me know what you think...I could definitely use some practice! LOL!

So that's it for me today! Thank so much for stopping by for a visit and until next time - stay crafty!

Brand new Easter Bunny Puppet Set on a Wobble!

 Hello AI Fans!!

Oh my gosh, have you seen the new Easter Bunny Puppet Set from Art Impressions! Oh these are just too cute for words! If you loved the Snowman Puppet Set, you're going to be over the moon for the Bunny set too! I don't know about you and I'm definitely going to be showing my age here, but I really loved playing with paper dolls when I was a young girl. Dressing up those dolls was always so much fun! And these Puppet Sets brings that joy right back to me now!! My card fits the current AI challenge to SHAKE IT UP cause I put this adorable bunny on a Wobble. I stamped her onto Cryogen White paper and colored her up with Copic markers which are listed below.

Joyful Holiday Cheer by Janet

Happy Saturday Ai Fans! I'm so happy to share with you a cute little card that was so easy to make using just a few Ai products. Most of this card was formed using the 5809 - Decorative Journal Page 2 template. I cut the red frame using the stitched rectangle die and the decorative frame from this set at the same time. I cut it again on silver cardstock so that I could piece it inside the red frame to make a base for the cute snowman. I also cut the banner in this set and stamped it with a sentiment from the 5566 - Christmas Sentiments Set. Before stamping, I curved the ends of the sentiment up to match the curve of the banner on my glass block.

Speaking of snowmen, this adorable image is from the 5802- Joyful Snowman Set. There are three chubby snowman doing various holiday activities. The one I chose for my card shows a snowman who has gotten a little carried away with his lighting work and is wearing more lights than he hung!

To finish this card, I adhered the red frame on a green 4 Bar card base. I glued the silver inset to the opening of the red frame. I adhered the sentiment with a single layer of foam tape and used two layers of foam tape on the snowman image. I really love the overall look of this sweet card. I hope you do too!

Thanks for stopping by today. I hope you'll stop by the store to see all the things you need for your card, journal, and tag making projects.

Meet my GnomeBee! by Reneé Matarese

 Hello and Happy Thursday!

I am absolutely in LOVE with the new Gnome set!  Today I'm sharing a Black and White card that has pops of yellow and green.  My favorite colors!

I've used several new sets to create my card and I'll link everything below.  One thing I can't link is the itty bitty bee on his nose.  That is from a retired Freebie stamp but I couldn't NOT put him on my card.  I love him so much.

The gnome set comes with dies but the other watercolor sets don't so I used my Brother Scan-N-Cut to cut out the flowers.

It's funny how people can look at something and see different things. I look at this and see he's dressed like a bee. My husband would look at this and say, "Cool!  He's a Steelers fan!" lol!

Everything was colored using Copic markers and Twin Tones.
Copics used: E15, E30, E33, RV66, N1, T3, YG07, G05

Twin Tones used: Black, Gray, Yellow
